Parish jumps as he notices another catch in his pole
"Oh my... ohhhhh my... look look! Something else liked this lure! Today must be my lucky day!!
A cute turtle!"
He smiles broadly as Gertrude and the talking turtle talk
"Perhaps... you can tell us your name? I am Parish and this is Gertrude. And those are Sal, Monday and Miss Sherry."
Looking at his friends, Parish notices that Monday has no catch (yet) and he feels sorry. Parish loves to fish, but what he loves the most is the feeling of getting a catch in this wonderful sport. And he doesnt want Monday to go without a catch.
But this is a talking turtle, who should also decide about its fate!
"Friendly Turtle, you seems to like my friend Ger, I know she is very very nice, but here my friend Monday didnt get anything today from the lake, yet. She is veeeeery nice... and veeeeery magical.... I believe you two will like each other.... you seem fit one for the other. Dont you agree Ger? And at home, Carrot and our turtle friend will be able to play together, isnt it Monday?
So... what do you three say?"

"I’m Terry!" the turtle says. "Yes, what fun! I’ll be your pet, Monday!" Terry waddles over to the fairy and wiggles his little tail.
The day seems to have flown by as you’ve enjoyed yourselves at the fishing hole. The sun begun to sink below the horizon, and it’s time to hike back to the Bed & Breakfast and brag about your catches...

Monday can't believe her ears. "For me?" She says in disbelief when Parish hands her the turtle. "He's a cutie, isn't he!"
Why Parish was being so nice to her after her mean comments was beyond her comprehension. Especially the word "friend" stood out. It shattered her merchant's composure as an arrow of warmth hit her right in the heart.
"Thank you, Parish. You come by the night market sometime, I've got something you might enjoy."
"If I'd have known you were all such great fishermen and women, I wouldn't have come today." She looks at Terry and then at her friends. "But I'm glad I did."
Gesges, I think you can add a note to Parish's sheet that Monday has promised him a gift. Might be fun in a different chapter <3
