Thanks for having me! This game looks silly and fun, and easy to pick up and play!

And since you did mention this as a purpose for the lunch room, I actually will be going away for a few days—a short trip to Hong Kong on April 19th. But aside from my sleep schedule being thrown from a 12-hour time zone change, I don’t think my posting will be completely off from the trip.

Welcome, all! I hope to permanently return to Europe myself sometime in May. Been in Korea a long ole time and the moves are being made to, well… move.

I lived in Asia for a few years (in my case, US to Hong Kong and back), so I kinda know the feeling. Good luck with the move!

Looking forward to busting some ghosts together! Also, this is the closest I’ve come to playing a game with mind/body/spirit stats and it’s the ONLY game in which I LIKED randomizing character creation!

Always wondered what HK is like to live in.

My first pandemic live chat game was Tunnel Goons, the ancestor of Goons & Ghosts. "Brute + Skulker + Erudite" were the three stats. I suggest you check it out on itch.io; it was a lot of fun to play.

I loved HK when my wife and I were a childless couple, and I was thin from the combination of walking and the tropical climate. But the best part has to be the food. You get the local flavors—dim sum, cha siu fan (BBQ pork rice), sweet soups, freshly-caught sea food (which I normally don’t like, but Lamma Island is where I make an exception), beef brisket noodles, and various street foods and SE Asian fruits. And you also get authentic Shanghai cuisine, Korean and Japanese.

I will admit that it helps to be dating/married to a Cantonese-speaker, but you can get by speaking English in some places.

Funny that the stats are B-, S- and E-words in both Goon games. Like, I seriously started thinking of other combinations like "bold", "sneaky" and "enchanting." (I probably didn’t need to admit to this dorkiness in writing.)
