The yurei were indiscriminate, but also senseless, from what Hakusa continued to observe. They continued down the middle of the street attacking whomever was immediately in their path, and the innocents did not need any further prompting to get out of their way. Up ahead of them was the bridge crossing; those stuck there would have no means to avoid their killing blades, short of diving into the water. But perhaps, as Hakusa inferred, these undead were not headed towards the bridge, but would veer off towards the steps leading up to the teahouse.
If they did, they would find their way blocked, for Hakusa saw a mountain of a man, a sumotori, descend with quick grace to emplace himself at the foot of the steps. Genji had left the bickering samurai to their ineffective devices, to deal with the invasion. He had noted that right at the back with another strange figure, but this one was a cripple in worn robes, not a trio of stalking warriors in armor.
OOC:
Sorry for the delay, I had slowed this down because I didn't realise Ogion had been away, and I was hoping for Jiggidy to reply. So let me quickly set the scene for Hakusa and Genji. We've got a main street, Hakusa's at one end, the undead are in the middle, the other end is the bridge, and next to it are the steps to the teahouse, where Genji is now standing. Honour demands the innocent be protected I guess? One dead in round 1.
It's round 2, since no one's engaged in combat yet, I'll rule PCs go first this time, because the undead will presumably keep attacking others until you present a threat or are in their path. You can always use this to your advantage wink wink, not all encounters need to be dealt with by direct combat. So Jomsviking and gtg620q you're up.
Jiggidy, when you're next on, note my earlier ooc, Kenji may want to respond to Saito first before I follow your post description. If not, Saito might act.
