Unfortunately, I've had attrition in my Worlds Without Number game (WWN) and now would like to add two or three people to make up for those losses. We're reaching a point where the addition of new characters will fit naturally into the storyline without the use of a shoehorn.
This is an open-ended campaign whose intent is to take 1st level characters and build them up into 10th level heroes.
Currently, the group is escorting a merchant, his daughter, and several coffers from the Scarlet Princes—a collection of provinces under the rule of the Fifth Dynasty—to a keep lying just south of the country of Runom. The route lies where the Black Spine Mountains meet the Choking Dunes, two forbidding lands where bloodthirsty beasts prowl and ancient beings lie hidden.

In essence, they're traveling from the red star on the lower right to the one on the upper left.
The adventurers were making good progress along a hidden road when some abomination arose from beneath a bridge one night and frightened the horses. The merchant and his daughter were asleep inside the covered wagon when the horses took flight into the desert in the midst of a sandstorm.
The party eventually located their patrons and are now in the midst of rescuing them from their captors. If good fortune smiles upon them, they will escape and find their way back to the road, which is where I'd like them to encounter you.
What to Expect: So far, we've had violence, blood and gore, NPC non-sexual nudity (left to player imagination), adult language and situations. It's a rough world, so expect your typical human depravity.
Game Duration: Open-ended, but if players want to take a break between adventures, that can be arranged.
Post Frequency: Three times/week. More so during battles.
Player Experience Requirements: None. This is the first time for the players. You can get a free copy of the Worlds Without Number rulebook on DriveThruRPG.
Game System in a Nutshell: WWN is considered by some to be OSR, but I'll leave that up to others to decide. It uses a 2D6 system for tasks with character skills and attribute bonuses providing DMs. Combat is D20-based. It has a Shock Damage rule which makes combat more lethal. If a person misses but their weapon's shock rating is greater than the opponent's AC, then damage is still done. Magic is powerful but takes great effort, thus used in limited fashion.
Characters: WWN offers three basic archetypes of characters: warriors, experts, and mages. But these can be mixed together to come up with interesting adventurers of the player's choosing. Right now, we have openings for whatever you'd like to try (we have a Healer (expert/mage), an automaton warrior, and a high mage), and I have dedicated character creation threads for each player to figure it out. If you have questions about what types of characters can be created, please feel free to ask below.
All are welcome, no matter your demographic or GP experience. If you're interested, post your interest below.
