Hoping to take advantage of his size before the effect wears off, Tymun readies his Phang Blade axe and holds it high above his head. With a thundering battle roar, he charges the nearest turtle.

Damn, missed the Mario moment! I wanted to try and bop the turtles into each other as a backup but I dont think Tymun gets a deed die since he isnt a fighter.

I'll go ahead with the turtles while we wait for Callan.

The ballista-less war turtle tries to stomp Bole in retaliation, while the more dangerous one tries to shoulder check the giant dwarf. The ballista rotates and takes aim at Sassafras. The dwarf is able to fend off the blow, but Bole and Sassafras are not so lucky!

OOC:

10 points of damage to both Bole and Sassafras. Everyone else is back up!

Just when she was getting ready to dodge the ballista, it hit her shoulder and knocked her off balance. Sassafras can’t remember the last time she was off balance. It’s quite rare.
Knowing the ball takes around to recharge, she sees her opportunity. With a cartwheel and a leap, she mounts the back of the still armed turtle and attempts to disable its weapon.

OOC:

Adding 2 luck to make the disable check. And my reflex save to avoid the spikes

Sassafras is hurting. Currently 7/21 HP

That spear throw was a nice distraction for his teammates. Yes, absolutely, a distraction. Totally meant to miss that throw.

With everyone else also focusing on the same turtle, Gabe charges in, battleaxe over his head, swinging and kicking wildly towards the turtle's face.

Sassafras disables the ballista just moments before Gabe and Butch double-team the turtle and slay it. The heavy reptile collapses and the roof shakes with its impact. A siren sounds and magical confetti blasts across the roof's perimeter. The announcer crackles to life from the AVS screen floating above the roof.

"With only one injured war turtle standing against seven Crawlers, the contest has been ruled in favor of the Houston Hexcralwers! What an exciting performance indeed! Gwendolyn, please show these contestants what they've won!"

Another bikini-clad spokesmodel teleports onto the roof. She beams a perfectly white smile at you all. "Congratulations, Houston Hexcralwers! Your cash prize is five thousand gold! Each of you also will receive an Art Van Dinette Set! And from your sponsor, Phang Blades, one set of +2 omni armor!" he spokesmodel holds up a silvery disk in one hand.

Whew, that was a slugfest! Congrats! Decide amongst yourselves who should get the +2 armor.

Sassafras tumbled gracefully off the turtle's back, hiding her grimaces from pain. She plays tough, but these games are brutal. She’s clear, after stowing away enough prize money, she is retiring from Xcrawling.

She rushes to Bole as she sees him approaching.
"Thank you, and your Diana. I will try to keep my thoughts positive and honor this gift of healing."
And, after feeling restored, "You seem hurt as well. Ask for your own healing or your goodwill serving days are done."

Then, with his arms raised, trying to provoke some cheers. "And I've gotta give it up for my Diana; she's the BEST!"

Then, more quietly, he prays, holding the golden bow he wears around his neck: "Glorious Diana, if it please you, heal your servant, too." Diana is pleased with him, despite his weak grandstanding, and his body's wounds vanish.

Butch and Tymun pass the Grandstanding check, everyone else failed. You're out of initiative so feel free to make any healing rolls all together. The omni armor adapts to any size so anyone can wear it. Vi Vi has the lowest AC at 11. Her class ability is also to provoke enemies to attack her so it probably would benefit her most lol.

Once the prizes are accepted, the trapdoor Tymun found earlier opens, revealing stairs into the building.

"Your final challenge lies down below. Good luck!" the spokesmodel says before teleporting away.
