Character Creation

Please discuss your characters in this thread. Generally speaking no rolling is necessary.

Get Rich: 2 Lives + 0 Extra CBP
This is the default for Ashlands: M.E.R.C.s campaigns. Your MERCs will start off
somewhat weak, but you have room for a few deadly errors over the course of the
campaign.

For the most part there are no restrictions on character creation but if you aren't sure about something mechanically or narratively this is the place to ask those kinds of questions.

GRRR. I can't find a single spot to tell what bonus you get per stat level!

What bonus is there for agility if 25, 30, 35 or even 40???

New to d100 system and if the book isn't plain about this stuff then I have no way dealing with it.

I'm assuming the character you submitted MERC isn't finished yet and you want me to leave it in place for you to edit on.

And a lot you can do with that. Though in my very limited experience the devilkin race really incentivizes being up close and personal rather than sharpshooting. Though a sharpshooting devilkin is likely to surprise some folks who likely won't be expecting it. I just realized it was @NobleClover who mentioned wanting to play a Devilkin Sharpshooter.

She is ex-security officer. Robbery came. She got knocked out. Building came down. Sole Survivor. Scape Goat. Now lives out of motel.

Spend Starting Experience Points and Gold: 1000XP and 150 Gold.

I have lots of reformatting and such to do. I'm still making sure I got everything included in before I arrange it all. I need to understand how to use and abuse the 1000 exp's. 150 gp is clear.

Claws: Gains the Natural Weapons Trait and a Rank of the Unarmed Fighter Talent

Unarmed Fighter (X)
rerequisites: Unarmed +10
Cost: 200XP, Ranked
Effect: Each time this Talent is taken, upgrade the Damage die used by the character for his
Unarmed attacks (this also includes the Damage die for Unarmed weapons as well, including
those granted by Pacts). "X" is equal to the Damage Die used for the character’s Unarmed
(Melee) Attack Actions, with most character’s Unarmed Damage starting at 1d6+StB with the
Blunt Damage Type.
Note that the character with this Talent can also choose to use a smaller
Damage die than his default.

lash-like tongues or spat acid. These are weapons that are inherent to the creature.
A Creature with this Trait is count as always being armed with its Natural
Weapons that are listed in parentheses in its Traits section, which it uses with the Unarmed
(Melee) Skill (unless otherwise noted), these Natural Weapons count as being on a specific
Hit Location (noted on the profile), and these cannot be Disarmed, unless they are targeted
with a Called Shot and struck with a weapon that has the Destroyer Quality (and subsequent
ly Destroyed). Such destruction can be resisted with a successful +0 Difficulty Fortitude
Test, which does not require an Action.
Additionally the Damage dealt by creatures with this Trait is proportional to
their Size Trait (see the Size Modifiers chart on the next page) and is usually of the Blunt,
Slashing, or Piercing Type. This Damage die is added to their Strength Bonus to determine

What is my Claw damage?
Go to the next page, look in the size chart for the natural weapon damage. For someone size 4 its 1d6.
