Being a newb is not a barrier, @tergolap. I can teach you to play in a couple of posts, or I can do it the easy way and send you to
this site and have you read the comic. It will explain almost everything you need to know. There will be investigation, and supernatural themes are not out of the question. Posting frequency will vary, mostly because my wife is blind and I serve as her eyes, reading and typing her emails, driving her places, etc. I try to post as often as all the players do, but on occasion, there may be delays in my posting. If I expect a long delay, I will try to provide advance notice.
@Bullseyepsa, you are absolutely right that SW really shines in a pulp setting (and space opera; I'm preparing a space opera setting for my F2F group right now; over two dozen species, laser swords, and all the trimmings!).
This is not a mystery men campaign, I want to stress that up front. There will be no super-powers (though ABs in sorcery, weird science, and mesmerism are absolutely on the table). One other thing that I want to stress:
Women and minorities are welcome to be adventurers in this campaign. I know that in the pulps, women were treated as treasures to be won, and minorities were relegated to servant roles or bit parts, but in this game, they will be equals to everyone else. That is not to say that everyone you encounter will agree with that sentiment, but all Wild Cards (e.g., player characters) are equal in my eyes! You are welcome to play an intolerant character, but this does not give you license to be rude or to use racial slurs! There is a huge difference between playing a character and just being an ass. We observe Wheaton's Rule: "Don't be a dick!"
