Would you like us to roll up a character here, or would you prefer that we wait and those lucky to be picked do so in a new thread in the game forum?

Can I make a character with these stats that I find interesting?
A stupid figther? that is not for me
You could switch them, I said 3d6 down the line is encouraged but not mandatory. So if you wanted to play a Thief, like you said, maybe move that 14 to Dexterity.

As a general rule, and I'm saying this for others who might be reading, I subscribe to the theory that the numbers should serve the game and the roleplay, not the other way around. In essence, I expect players to bring their own ingenuity to the game, even when playing characters with low mental or social stats. Low numbers there would only impact your spells (if applicable). I do not ask of you to "play dumb" because your character has low INT or WIS and I'll never say something along the lines of "no, your character is too stupid to say something this eloquent".

That said, if you think this might not be the kind of game for you, it is what it is and I respect it. At the end of the day, we're all here to have a good time.

I'm setting up the game forums with the relative info, so it's best not to rush into anything here yet. Once it's all set up, I'll send out invitations and those picked will have access to everything they need, keeping all the relative info and rolls in one place.

Afraid I got a bit much going on right now, so I'll withdraw my interest.

I tend to play the numbers. If I have a highly intelligent character, my in-character posts will be loquacious and sesquipedalian. If the character has a low Wisdom, then they will make dumb decisions. For me, that's part of the fun.

Ditto. I have a character in a game now with an INT of 8. I play him as being basically intelligent, except that always mistakes his companions names, and calls them another name each time so long as it begins with the same letter. As for grandiloquence and bombast, I play that more depending on how I perceive the character, so long as INT and CHA are at least "normal". I have a character now for which I am trying to channel a mix of Gerard Depardiuex in Cyrano and Danny Kaye in Court Jester. But he is only 17 and his WIS is low, so he tends to be somewhat impetuous 😈

Aw, that's a shame, but I understand. Thanks and take care.

Oh I'm fine with players using mental stats to add some colour to their roleplay, I just don't want the mental stats to chain them and prevent them from throwing in a clever idea. In essence:

If you want this to be the case, you're welcome to. If you don't want this to be the case, it's alright. I just don't want anyone to feel like they must play it this way and I certainly won't enforce anyone to.

Sent out an initial round of 6 invites, trying to keep the party down to a manageable size for starters. If an expansion is decided, or anyone drops out, I'll come back here to find replacements. Thank you for your interest and stay tuned!

Withdrawing interest due to time constraints. Everyone enjoy the game. :)

May be a slot available soon as I'm exiting the game due to it is played without combat mapping.
