Hello!
I experienced an earthquake a little while ago. Mag 3.5 centered in S. TN. I know it's not a big earthquake but, it's the strongest and longest one for me so far.
The wave pattern was pretty cool! I have some plants with long, thin, flexible branches that gave me confirmation of what I was feeling. The branches would shake a little then more then less as the waves passed by. This was definitely not like I've experienced before today. The first quake got me in trouble for kicking the couch my mom was lying on. That quake was centered on a New Madrid fault line. I was in HS in MI for that one and frankly, I didn't really feel it.
The second quake felt like a strong wind was pushing on the building. The wall joints and rafters popped during that one and there was definitely direction to the little quake. There's a fault in S. IN that caused that quake.
