Goliath evasion is 6, so 8 hits. And it is 3 damage in total, but it's not pushed back due to a trait of this specific hull THe big guy - goliath. It is hard to knock down (lot of HP) and it has SIEGE ARMOR, any attacks from range more than 3 will have less effect (it takes half damage). The smaller ones are really easy to take out. I recommend leave one Everest in the field as a bait - Goliath will spend some time finishing it off. That will win you time to destroy it
Also my scanners show more enemy incoming your positions. Be ready

So snake suggest you to set your one of your mechs to self-destruction mode, abandon it and get into your back up mech. hey, that's just because in Lancer you can do such a fancy move.

After revisiting rules I have a reason to propose following:A.I. is indeed an intelligence and does as rules say "Your mech will follow basic courses of action (defend this area, attack this enemy, protect
me, etc.) to the best of its ability". I will behave on behalf of that A.I. and will follow basic courses of action that you will describe.
Just for fun let's say that A.I. can't initiate SELF_DESTRUCT for security reasons (it is well known enemy can hack into your A.I.), but you can certainly tell mech to "go attack goliath at close range".
