OOC:
With three of us engaging Invidian in melee, they are now surrounded. They also just failed their luck roll for Dire Attention, making them vulnerable and cursed. As a result, all attacks against the archon now have 2 additional boons. One of those boons also applies to roll against their attributes, which means Tzal should benefit.Last edited June 20, 2025 7:54 pm

After the black ichor is thrown, Wolfram takes advantage of the distraction and tries to sink his enchanted dagger into Invidian, while avoiding touching the black goo with his hand. And then Lauretta's axe fell on the fallen angel.
OOC:
Sort of a cross-post.Last edited June 20, 2025 8:05 pm

Lauretta's burning axe slices towards Invidian, and both the archon's steel armor and corrupted flesh parts at its deadly edge! Radiant blood sizzles from the flames, flowing freely from the fallen angel's mortal wounds. Their eyes widen and they gurgle as their mount whinnies and bucks, knocking them from the saddle. As the horse runs away, Invidian groans and releases their sword, staring up at the night sky above. Perhaps, in their last moments, they are seeing a glimpse of the Paradise that they lost. Then Invidian's eyes glaze over, and they see no more.
Agada the Seer shrieks as she sees the leader of the Unbelievers laid low. The other raiders, who were already giving ground to Sir Reginald and your forces, echo her cry as their morale is shaken!

OOC:
Since Lauretta took down Invidian on her turn, Tzal and Wolfram may change their actions if they wish, using the same rolls if applicable.Jun 24, 2025 3:32 pm
Tzal will redirect to Agada.
Rolls
Black bile poison damage roll - (3d6)
(136) = 10

OOC:
Agada is 20 yards or more away. Wolfram can use his bow, but @Stalker05 your spell only has a range of 5 yards.Jun 25, 2025 10:34 am
Wolfram switches to his bow as he fires on Agada, scoring a hit. The wild spellcaster is badly hurt now, and she shouts a command to her remaining forces as she flees for safety! The raiders break from the battle and turn to run as well. Some of them are cut down as they leave their backs exposed to Sir Reginald's forces, but a few make it clear and start heading for the hills as well!
OOC:
Agada moves another 15 yards away, and the rest of the forces are fleeing as well. It's up to you if you want to try to pursue or let them escape.Jun 25, 2025 10:02 pm
OOC:
Could R3N-L3 go on a prolonged pursuit of them? He's not fast enough to catch up to any of them unless they've got their ankles chopped off, but he is untiring and doesn't need to stop to eat or sleep, so I'm thinking he'd simply eventually run down any fleeing marauders.....Or just keep going after them until they leave the valley xPJun 26, 2025 2:52 am
Lauretta's mind is empty, occupied solely by the sight of Invidian's corpse and the sound of her own breathing. As the moment begins to pass, memories of standing over the dead in her youth start to blend with the present. Echoes of the past send forth feelings of emptiness, anger, and spite. She shakes her head, casting out the daze. This wasn't for blood money, but for justice and the innocent. Or at least that's what she would remind herself later when she wasn't watching the battle end with Sir Reginald and the Vale's forces drive the Unbelievers back.
"Victory!"
The Preceptor stood and held her weapon of war aloft, rallying the troops.

Sir Reginald and your other followers take up Lauretta's cheer, raising their weapons as the raiders flee into the night! In the aftermath of the fight, you see that several of the conscripts were injured in the fighting, but none of them died, while they were able to take out about half of the raider forces.
Agada the Seer will no doubt spread word of the death of Invidian. How the raider's chieftain, Magunda the Mighty, will react to this news remains to be seen...
