Jack was born on Nar Shaddaa in Hutt Space to Dominus and Anla Fenn. Life on the smuggler's moon wasn't easy, but the Fenns never planned on staying there long. Dominus was an able-bodied gun-for-hire who was away on business most of Jack's early life, but it provided them with the bribe-money necessary for a comfortable living. Jack's mother was a pilot who worked for one Hutt lord to the next, depending on who needed cargo moved across the moon. Jack would often accompany her as a child, becoming fascinated with the lifestyle. One Hutt in particular, Grubbo, took a liking to Anla, and so it was taken as an insult when the Fenns left Nar Shaddaa for a planet closer to the Core.

Ralltiir was a rich world, and not only had Dominus accrued enough money to move here, but he had been offered a job as a bodyguard for a powerful banker. It paid well enough that Anla didn't have to work anymore, which meant that young Jack couldn't ride in the spaceships anymore. Though he missed his old life, he didn't realize how dangerous it had actually been. On Ralltiir, however, Anla and Dominus found time to give Jack a little sister named Maya. Jack never paid Maya much mind, being more interested in reliving the adventurous life he'd had on Nar Shaddaa. The dark reality of that old life eventually caught up to them, and one day while Jack and his mother were visiting relatives on another world, Anla was kidnapped by some of Grubbo's cronies. Jack's relatives were killed, and Jack was left behind due to careful hiding, alone on an unfamiliar planet. Luckily, he was only alone until he was taken in temporarily by a Togrutan family. Jack was there for three months before his father finally tracked him down when his wife and child hadn't returned. He'd brought Maya with him, but upon learning what had happened to his wife, Dominus entered a dark state. Jack isn't certain if a deal was struck, if Dominus had paid them, or if he had simply departed, but he and Maya both were left with the Togrutan family now.

The Togrutans had a daughter named Ada'asha, who was about Jack's age (or species equivalent). Though it took him time to come out of the sadness of recent events, he grew to realize that Ada also had a yearning for excitement. He would go to watch the speeder bike races with her, evading his little sister who tried following him around everywhere. It was a nice distraction from the recent trauma, and he quickly made a friend in Ada.

It was a year before Jack's father returned, almost wordlessly taking Jack and Maya back to their home on Ralltiir. Dominus was a different man, taking to drink and gambling regularly, and though he never told Jack what happened in a lucid state, his drunken ramblings were more than enough. Dominus had broken his mother free from Grubbo's den, but his mother did not survive the escape that followed. It was then that the reality of the terrors he'd experienced many months ago set in, and anger grew in his heart. Though it took considerable effort and negotiation due to being still relatively young, Jack began working in his father's stead as a gun-for-hire, using his father's blaster pistols and with some of his father's natural talent and teaching. Over several years, while affording the cost of living for his family, Jack accrued the credits that he needed for passage back to Nar Shaddaa. Not once had he forgotten the burning need for vengeance.

It took months of planning, preparation, and accumulating allies (including a rival Hutt crimelord named Igsultha) before Jack was ready, but when the moment came, the attack was quick and brutal. Grubbo and the majority of his henchmen were killed in a raid on their den, and the ends of Jack's blasters red-hot from overuse. Igsultha wished to commend him and the other men involved with a day of celebration, but much like his father, Jack left the moon wordlessly.

When he returned home, even this news wouldn't shake his father from the depression he'd entered. His sister had by this point gotten a job at one of Ralltiir's many banks, uninterested in bonding with a brother who'd abandoned her as much as her father had. Jack desperately wanted to mend his relationship with Maya, but neither of them were in a state to do so, and so he left seeking further mercenary work.

He worked jobs few and far between, more often sleeping in the corridors of starports than in a bed that he'd have to pay for. He'd kept in intermittent contact with Ada, and though he'd never let on how low he felt he had fallen, he was quick to accept the job that she suggested to him. The work was simple: escort the Major's son from one city to the next. His work had made him several enemies, and he feared for his son's safety. It turned out that his fears were warranted, and Jack's gun was needed throughout the day as their convoy was ambushed repeatedly. At the end of the day he was sharing drinks with Major Willute safe and sound. The Major had offered him a night's rest in the Imperial outpost, and Jack eagerly accepted. He awoke in the middle of the night, preparing to leave early, but not before he stumbled across the major's body, blaster wounds riddling his chest. Instead of waiting to be interrogated by the Empire, Jack fled. Alarms sounded soon after, and in his attempt to escape he caught a blast to his back, scorching his coat and body beneath.

He made his way to a doctor's patchshop, if only to get off of the street and away from his pursuers for a moment. It was there that he met Doc, who was forced to escape with him when the troopers found them anyway. They managed to get to the nearest port when Jack happened to spot Ada making her way up the ramp of her ship. Without much thought going into his plan, he urged the doctor to come with him as he boarded Ada's ship. He begged Ada to take him off planet, but she had questions. As understandable as the questions were, Jack knew that if the troopers caught up to them and got aboard, they'd be done for. And so he drew his blaster pistol and trained it on his friend. "Ada," he said firmly, leaving no time for more questions, "Get this ship in the air. Now."

Since then, it has been one day after the next, evading the Imperials, crime-lords, and his home (hoping that this wouldn't be traced back to his father and sister). He had to find out what happened so that he could prove his innocence and safely return home.

The elder of two sons born to a wealthy family, Savi Taihara always wanted to be a fighter pilot. He had the physique and athletic talent the Navy loved in their top recruits. However, as eldest, his place was to carry on the family's long tradition of serving the galactic community by representing and defending their interests to the government. He would watch, enviously, as his younger brother gained admittance to the Imperial Navy, quickly becoming squadron leader and earning accolades and promotions, while he studied history, diplomacy, and philosophy.

By his late 20's Savi would exceed his father expectations and become an Imperial Senator. For years, he would serve with pride feeling as though he were making a real difference. He would often tell himself that his life had real meaning because he was making a difference in the lives of decent people on countless worlds. He wasn't eager for death, but he knew when it came he would not be sad, because his life would have been spent in the pursuit of accomplishing something meaningful. It would matter that he lived.

That all changed by the time Savi had served for 14 years. At 42, he had finally come to understand the truth. His career was a farce. The Senate had become a sham and their rulings and authority was a mirage. The Emperor did as he pleased while Senators played at government like children playing at space pirates. His feelings of purpose were false. He had been conned and when he died, he knew, his life will have made not one bit of difference.

It wasn't long before he began voicing his thoughts about the system. Predictably, the authorities began listening to his increasingly seditious comments and he was brought before the Imperial Security Bureau. By all rights, he should have, would have, been executed, but his father traded in every family favor and got his son exiled instead.

Now, serving out the rest of his dreary, miserable life in anonymity at the farthest reach of civilization, Savi had all but given up. He had contemplated taking his own life, but then it came to him. A plan. A wonderful, paradigm shifting, plan of rebirth. He just needed the right set of circumstances to present themselves...

"What? No, not at all. I am listening. Please, continue." he said to the Togruta sitting across from his desk. "You were saying something about your ship being unfairly grounded."

As the pilot went on in a fumbling attempt to dance around hints of bribery, Savi saw his chance. He would leave this painful life behind and begin a new life. He would dedicate this new life to freedom. Instead of living exclusively by the rules and limitations imposed on him, he would live by those he imposed on himself.

He interrupted the obviously desperate fringer in his office, and quickly laid out the bare bones of his plan. After the shock passed, the Togruta regained her composure and agreed to the terms. She left immediately as Savi busied himself in his office. There was much to do. Documents needed to be arranged, he would have to get back home in order to change his appearance, and, perhaps most importantly, the body had to be prepared. His hands trembled as he sorted through the information on his data pad. Emancipation was no longer a dream. He was about to be free, or he was about to die. Either way, the farce was over.

For this first time in many years, Savi smiled.
OOC:
I know that if you do the math and work your way backward, when he was in his 20's there was no Imperial Senate. For brevity sake I didn't go into great detail about what the governing body was when he joined and how the various shifts affected his role. The gist is that he was in government and politics for the "right" reasons and came from a decent background only to be used and chewed up by the Imperial system. Now he has been digested and crapped out the back end of the Galaxy where he is finally being given an opportunity for a new start.

Avox the Bounty Hunter

A Friend in Need
A Twi'lek named Ju'teno was once a successful engineer and shop owner. With his profits he started a gambling habit that not only consumed his business, but led him to directly bet against a crime lord. Upon losing, he found himself so in debt he could not ever hope to come out of it.
Due to his lack of resources, Ju'teno became a scavver for a time. During which he found the discarded carcass of a Gank, his arm missing and covered in wounds. Despite his meager funds and living situation, the gambler took him in and saved his life. The Gank, called Avox, was at first confused at the altruism. Over time he healed and assisted in the scavenger's work, coming to truly care about Ju'teno. His first and only friend, Avox could no longer bare to see his friend enslaved as he is. He asked Ju'teno to build him a cybernetic replacement for his arm, as his last robotic arm was destroyed, and went to visit the crime lord.
He setup a bargain: Ju'teno is left alone and Avox will go out into the world to pay back the debt. Cagron can, in exchange ask for tasks from the Gank, with the only payment being reduction of the debt.

An uneasy alliance
While in the galaxy, Avox took on many bounties and properly outfitted himself. He did not want to simply chip away at the massive debt, his plan is to outfit himself well enough that he is able to bring in big bounties. Ones so large that he can pay the entire debt off at once. During this time, he tracked down a man named Jack Fenn. The man had been accused of murder, and was wanted for a few thousand credits. When Avox finally cornered him on a ship platform in the outer reaches, the man drew his blasters and fought back. Despite his handiness with a blaster, the bounty hunter swiftly captured and subdued his prey; going so far as to sock the man across the face. After a series of complaints and stating that he's innocent, Jack said:
"You know, your timing is just awful. Why'd I have to be caught by some pistonhead right at this moment? We were gonna be rich in a matter of days."
This caused the bounty hunter to stop in his tracks. He lifted the man up and looked into his face.
"How rich?"
This lead to an invitation by the captured rogue, and Avox found himself the member of a rag-tag group, doing odd jobs across the outer rim.

A temporary place holder while I create the right image.

Ada'asha Rebrill, Togruta pilot. Captain of the YT-2000 Horizon Chaser. Ada'asha has always been obsessed with speed and space travel. As a young child her father had made a name for himself in the local speeder bike racing circuits. When she was young Ada would also race, but as she reached the age of majority, her mother put an end to it. Ada was even banned from going to watch her father race. What Ada didn't know was that an up-and-coming togrunta mob lieutenant had taken a fancy to her. Her parent's forbidding her to attend the races was an attempt to keep him form making a move on Ada'asha. They hoped he would move on to some other girl if Ada wasn't around.

Without that knowledge Ada felt she had no option but to run away. She found an older Twi'lek freighter captain, named Bandoo Cash, who was in need of a knowledgeable deck hand. Ada may not have been exactly knowledgeable, but she was eager and a quick learner. Bandoo taught Ada everything he knew about being a smuggler, and she took to the life like she was born to it. She also worked at becoming a distinguished pilot, moving up the ladder to become Bandoo's co-pilot in a few short years. Granted the ladder was pretty short with only Bandoo's wife making up the rest of the Chaser's original crew.

When Bandoo announced he was taking one last job, then retiring to Kerset V to live out his old age as a farmer, Ada thought her life was over. Instead, Kerset V proved to be a new beginning, as Bandoo and his wife were bequeathing the horizon Chaser to Ada. She was now captain of her own ship. Sure it was a little older than she would like, and it wasn't as sleek and fast as her dream ship, but it was hers. She set about at once trying to find a sutable co-pilot.

Pickings on the rim worlds are usually slim, but Kerest was desolate. She had found one or two potential candidates and was mulling over her options when she got a call from an old contact. Major Deoki Willute was an imperial outpost commander who made use of some...less than regulation services when he had personal business to take care of. Major Willute was looking for recommendations for good gun hands, and he was willing to pay a finders fee. Adaasha was familiar with a few people and gave them a call, told them what the major was looking for and willing to pay. Jack Fenn was one of the people she called. When he showed up a few days later, with a doctor in tow, explaining that Wilute was dead, Ada was quite surprised. Next he explained how the Imperials and a mob family all thought he was responsible for killing Willute, which he had in fact not done, Ada was shocked. When Jack pulled a blaster on her and forced her to take off, you could have knocked Ada over with a feather.

Seeing that she was caught by completely unarmed, Ada was left with little choice. She left the Kerset system as quickly as she could. While they traveled, Ada felt more and more that she was partly responsible for getting Jack, and [Medic] in trouble. She hired Jack and [Medic] on as her co-pilots, even though they lacked the qualifications she was looking for.

At their first stop, Adaasha and her crew caught wind of some work being offered by some Rodian government officials or something. The work was simple and the pay was fair, so they took the job. One of the contractual stipulations was that a Rodian named [Infiltrator] had to accompany the Chaser to make sure certain aspects were handled properly. Not a big deal since the ship had the room. When it was over [Infiltrator] asked if he might stay on board. He said he preferred the Chaser's crew to the life he might return to. Ada figured having an extra pair of hands would prove useful and agreed.

The Horizon Chaser tooled around the Outer Rim for a few months, doing their best to keep Jack and [medic] off anyone's radar, but eventually, they ran into trouble. While making a delivery of some black market goods, a Gank bounty hunter named [Bounty Hunter] found them. After some tense negotiations Ada and Jack managed to convince [Bounty Hunter] that Jack and [Medic]'s bounty was small potatoes and that signing on to the Chaser as an enforcer was a much more lucrative possibility.

However, the crew found themselves facing further complications when they attempted to leave. It seemed [Bounty Hunter] had reported their location before he switched sides. The Imperials had placed a grounded order on the Chaser. Enter Savi, a human politician of small, but significant clout. In exchange for passage off planet, to wherever the Horizon Chaser went next, Savi would pull the necessary strings to get them back into space.

Jasvan "Doc" Walken was born on Faro in the Colonies region of the galaxy. Born into a wealthy family he was left to pursue his own interests as he grew into maturity with no expectation that he would have to work at a trade. Being recognised for his intelect from an early age it came as no surprise to his familly that he entered into the famed Corucal Medical Accademy and soon came to the attention of the local Moff who was heading up a special research team.

Seeing this as his chance to make his mark he dedicated his attentions to the work they were undertaking. After a number of months he became somewhat worried at the directions the reasearch was taking, these were smoothed over by his superiors and he was told the work they were doing would eventually help millions of people and he threw himself back into his research with an even greater dedication than before.

This was not to last however. 2 years ago details of the work his team was doing were leaked onto the public holonet on Faro. The outcry from the population of Fari lead to a public inquiry and whilst Jasvan was assured that he had nothing to worry about he soon found that his name had been circulated as the lead of the project. The result of the inquiry laid the full blame on Jasvan, his superiors had been quickly moved to different positions in the Core Worlds and he found that all of the paperwork indicated he was the project lead rather than a low level researcher. Seeing the writing on the wall he secure passage on a tramp freighter heading to the Outer Rim before he could be arrested for the crimes that were now being laid at his feet.

Jumping from ship to ship he managed to trade his skills for passage before he came to Kerest, whilst the planet seemed distinctly lacking in creature comforts he found his skills were in quite high demand due to the shockingly violent types who passed through the system. Striking a deal with Ka'plox, a Devaronian "business" man (who Jasvan strongly suspects works for Black Sun) who ran the local cantina amongst other business ventures, to patch up his employees as and when they needed it in return for a certain amount of discretion and some creature comforts he had been sorely lacking for over the last few months. Whilst he predominantly dealt with Ka'plox's men he also would treat other people if they needed it, for a price.

Everything seemed to be going ok with his new life and Ka'plox had started to hint that he would like to move Jasvan's operation to better, more comfortable surroundings when Jack Fenn crossed his path. Jack had a few injuries that needed patching up but nothing too serious, Jasvan was just wrapping up when a bunch of bounty hunters burst in shooting indiscriminately. Seconds later half of the clientele of the cantina were dead and Jasvan and Jack were heading full pelt for the star port with the hunters and some of Ka'plox's goons in tow….

Story Time!

In a back-ally cantina, on some back alley outer-rim planet...

"Do you know how much time we invested in this kid?" The scar-faced gotal takes another swig of the drink clutched in his hand, and slams it back down on the table for emphasis. He wasn’t pleased with the news brought from the two people sitting across from him... a gaunt female, Honna, that has probably used one too many death sticks, and a dark-plated droid, labeled as CRG-90 but usually answered to "See-Ar," with more weapons hidden in his torso that would normally be illegal in any establishment.

"What?! You think we just bought him a shuttle ticket for a present? Give me a break..." The human gets a little closer to the gotal called "Fisher" and lays it all on the table. "Who really gives a flying mynocks butt if he left. That little nerf-herder never had the makings to become one of us. NEVER!"

With a pause, Fisher looks back the human, and squints his eyes and lowers his voice. "That was never your decision to make. Your job was to keep tabs on him, and to find out if he really was thinking about jumping ship. And..." His tone dips into a mocking tone. "...Don’t tell me... This worthless, blue-skinned, punk got the best of you?"

Honna fumes as she knocks the drink out of the hand of Fisher and slams her hands on the table. "Nobody EVER gets the best of me. That punk won’t get far, I promise you that!" She stands up after making a scene, grabs the overcoat hanging nearby, and shouts at See-Ar to follow.

Fisher watches the two leave and takes out a com from a side pocket. He switches it on, waits for a moment. He looks around the room, snaps at a waitress nearby to bring him another drink, and clears his throat.

A garbled voice is heard in the com.

Fisher responds. "No, the situation has not been contained. He’s gone rogue."

Most pantorans can be seen with cultural markings on their face, designating a family lineage. But the one calling himself "Warden" has never know who his true parents were, or has never found much interest in following customs of a society he knows little about.

For as far back as he can remember, he’s always found himself surrounded by some of the most unscrupulous people that Bajic Sector had to offer. He learned to threaten, fight, suffer, and survive. Why they kept him around at a young age was a mystery to him, although the older he got, the more useful he became. With a larger stature than most, and the knack to say just the right words to get the results he wanted, he later found himself having bigger responsibilities on jobs with the closest thing he could remotely call a family... groups that had close associations with the Tenloss Syndicate.

Whether it was his own vision of becoming something more, or information he uncovered on a job, or some other irritation that came from the vile associations he was required to make, Warden decided it was time to sever ties and start anew. Even calling himself "Warden" is a departure from what he was originally called, but it suites him well. He hopes to be rid of his past life for good, although the Tenloss Syndicate is not as forgiving as he expects them to be.
