Welcome to A Hot Opportunity.

This is the OOC thread for the adventure =)

Looking forward to it. I'll take this opportunity to congratulate you htech. You have put a lot of work into Waterdeep. It's an impressive piece of work. It reminds me a little of an old module I played back in the early '80: Sanctuary. Based on the book by Robert Asprin published in 1978.

Thank you! I hadn't heard of this module/book before... I'll take a look, you made me curious =)

Not that I mind lurking in the slightest, but I am not partaking in this sub-adventure right now, so should I have access?

Fixed the access permissions =)

Can we please discuss current scene in details, please
Should I as player and/or my PC know
- Dungsweepers - (people who would normally be cleaning streets up after someone flinging fish around)
- Coach & Wagon Hall (Wagonmakers' and Coach Builders' Guild - isn't it?)

Most importantly for my PC: is it a dead fish? Freshly caught or stinky, i.e.
- should my PC assume Dungsweepers were transporting fish as waste

You are free to choose whether Legolas knows (or not) this. Zyra almost certainly does. So let me give the players some information:

- The Dungsweepers' Guild of Waterdeep are a group of street and stable cleaners who keep the city free from excess waste and refuse. So yes, they would normally be cleaning this building and street, not the other way around.
- Coach & Wagon Hall is the guildhall of the Wagonmakers' and Coach Builders' Guild
It's dead fish. A little smelly, but still good enough to sell. They took it from the overturned cart. By the look on the cart owner's face, without his consent.

Question. I feel like Grusk description provided don't match with our experience. Should I go IC back to Grusk and talk with him or is it just my poor English that made my confuse the message, but:

1. Grusk described alchemical gear and Still bubbling things just some cracked vials
2. Grusk told us he didn't stay long after facing "clicker thing"

It looks like "1" is indicating Grusk have been into the rooms beyond the any of the doors we see, while "2" - the opposite.

The clicker thing took longer to appear for him. His experience wasn't the same as the other adventurer's and its not the same as yours. =)

I don't want to spoil the mystery but Turanel2 OOC musings are close to the truth.

Turanel2 says:
Greyword raises a good question, there isn't really reference to language in Tiny D6 or the Tiny Waterdeep rules and this is a home brew. How do you want to deal with this. I'll suggest and you can rule... Most common languages require a standard test to get the gist, less common languages would be a disadvantage test. Magic or ancient runes would require a special skills so unreadable without that skill (i.e. spell touched or back ground was a librarian studying ancient languages). A success either way would only give the rough meaning without detail (unless the GM want to narratively advance the story). A native speaker, no roll required. Unless the background would state illiterate. Just a suggestion and I differ to you htech.
I like your suggestion. I will write that as part of our rules.

I have a very good idea what I want my PC to do right now, but I would like to hear from @Turanel2 first. Would Zyra let elf do what he intended or interrup?
Wood elf is obviously not experienced with constructs or whatever A.I. we are facing right now and will try to communicate it as if it were a human. May or may not lead to a good results...

Lead away @GreyWord, Zyra won't interrupt. For future reference, don't hesitate to move the story forward. I will react to the actions if I can't post right away.

What is the time difference between our timeline and Orryn Fiddlefield time line or are we in sync?

You are N'Sync. The idea is that he will join you in this adventure.

Previously, I thought about keeping things vague and giving him 50 gold and tons of gear, in a plot twist that much later you'd find out he was there before you. But that would work better in a book than in a game. I'd have to railroad his story a lot. Not to mention he'd have to die at the end, when Grusk finds his drained body and runs away from the clicking thing... =D

Not the first time I felt like the DM/GM was trying to kill me. 😏

I wasn't sure if I'd just be popping into existence next to you, or maybe in an unexplored room. Looks like I'm gonna be legging it. Don't die in the meantime!

@Turanel2 I know you didn't intend to offend my PC. Just want to remind that your PC knows Legolas is Wood Elf of Ardeep who has Keen Senses (Perceptive trait), which should be well known fact, I assume.

I'm not rolling a test just because I don't believe there is anything to fail

@GreyWord, fair enough, but my PC having grown up in the streets of Waterdeep and this adventure being her first out of a street urchin gang that wasn't simply to survive, I don't know she would actually have that knowledge. you and the druid who introduced us could possible the first elves I have spoken too. I've seen them, certainly, but to have actually interact with is questionable. My backstory isn't that detailed.

All good and i am glad we are talking about it.

By the way, I love how @htech just pulled us together!
