You don't find anything of value or interest on the woman, nothing in her pockets or similar. Leaving the woman by the fire and exiting the tavern, you see the lighthouse in the distance, shining like a beacon. It is still very rainy and stormy outside, and you can hear the waves crash beyond the cliffs. It's probably like 10:00 at night, maybe even later. Searching the ground immediately outside the inn, you don't see any tracks, the muddy ground's pretty churned up by driving rain, and the usual foot traffic of people coming and going from the tavern.

What do you want to do?

How far away are the docks / the shore or beach / the lighthouse? Also, please approve the characters Mathfuric and I have submitted!

The lighthouse, beach, and docks area are just under a kilometer away, you can get there pretty easily. Since you were indicating you might want to check this area out to see if there's a shipwreck, I'll assume that you'll be heading over, so I can give you the next entry.

You make your way across the island to the lighthouse, moving over rugged rocky terrain. The lighthouse looms up in front of you, the light shining into the night. Next to the lighthouse, you see the edge of the cliff, and the open sea beyond. Looking down over the edge of the cliff, you see a wooden ship, crashed on the treacherous rocks. In the moonlight, you see a pair of humanoid figures, moving slowly along the rocks. They look like men, dressed as a sailor would be, but you can't see their faces. The two figures enter the interior of the ship through an opening broken in its hull, and disappear from view.

The storm continues.

What do you want to do from here, players?

"By Gad! It is a ship! We should go down there, they'll need help!" he says, pointing excitingly at the wreck. This is by far the most exciting thing that happened on the island since Old Bertha gave birth to a two-headed calf, when he was young.

Gareth stares down at the moving figures on the ships deck, and listens to the excitement in Gareth's voice.

"Ock, I dunno Gareth, it be dangerous on those rocks. Slippery an all." He glances up at the bright light shining out of the lighthouse. "How could they have hit the rocks with that big bloody light shining at 'em, huh?"

"Hmm... ye're not wrong, cousin. And I don't say that very often. And why was that lass running away, but them sailor types aren't?"

Suspicion aroused in his mind by Argus's words, he observes the movements of the distant figures, trying to understand what they are doing.

MacTavish is already moving, once they spot the ship and the figures heading for it.

"That's where she come from, for sure!" she shouts into the rain and wind. "Let's go down! We can stop at them fish shacks there and gets some rope and a fuckin' boathook or two! There might be others needs bustin' out!"

Turning to the slight figure behind him he asks,

"What say you Sterling? Are ya all for clambering around on slippery rocks in the middle of a storm, and at the dead of night?"

Sterling had been lost in thought as he watched the figures moving around on the ship, "What, what was that Argus? Clamber. Ahh." Hie eyes focusing on the group with Effie already moving, "The boat yes, let’s head down. Your cousin could be right about them needing help. Best to take the path down. Ah, follow Effie."
OOC:
Is there a chance Sterling recognises the boat type from here?
