So, as stated, I am planning to run a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4th edition game as a play by post, specifically The Enemy Within campaign. For those unfamiliar, this is considered one of the greatest TTRPG campaigns ever written (not without its issues, and this edition addressed one of the most egregious, by replacing the fourth chapter with an entirely original one).
For those unfamiliar with the world, Warhammer Fantasy is set in the Grim Dark Old World: a world where Daemonic corruption is a fact of life, and great armies gather to battle rival kingdoms, hold back the tides of Chaos, and war among the squabbling nobles of its many kingdoms and territories. The Empire, the greatest human civilization, in terms of size as well as military might, is in a time of turmoil. Rumors grow that the Emperor, Karl Franz is ill, and the Holy City of Sigmar feels wrong, and it’s not just the smell…
The game will most certainly be mature, as there are some mature themes, but no overtly sexual roleplay will be allowed. The story is at times incredibly violent, and deals with themes involving illegitimate children, political intrigue, backstabbing, and drug use. No one under 18, please.
Only species who are listed in the Core Rulebook for your first characters at least. Perhaps later down the line, I could allow Ogres, but not at first.
As for the duration, it’s my intention to run all the way through to the end of The Enemy Within campaign, but the duration will last as long as there is interest. Post frequency should be whenever we are available to post: we have lives, I get it.
All you need is dice. Please message me here if you want to join, and we’ll make you a character and discuss any rules I have personally. Anyone familiar with a d100 system is preferred, but not required. I’d also prefer someone who has never played The Enemy Within, but I won’t turn away anyone who has a cursory knowledge.
