So you're... just submitting the iconic pathfinder paladin?

As long as DM GM isn’t opposed. I like using those in games, slightly rebuilt and reimagined. And I really dig their artwork.

I was thinking about doing a Elflings, or Halfling and (somehow) doing a Wildlander & Defender mix.
A beastly man who hunts like the beast in the woods.
Dropping down on all 4 and chasing after someone.
Pouncing and tackling victims.

Do you want us to make a character now to see the build or just a concept?

I knew that was familiar...

I'm somewhat initially opposed to using iconic characters but... I can't think of a valid argument against it. Art/Creativity is iterative after all...

I think I'll allow it for the time being, under the condition it doesn't start a larger issue.

Do keep in mind, an iconic may not be the strongest entry. Depending on turnout, that may not be the best foot to put forward.

Up to you though, if that's what you like, go for it.

At minimum, I would at least like to see a solid backstory for consideration.

It shows me you at least looked at the materials/understand have some sort of basic understanding of the setting.

I DID put all the application stuff in the thread and details in the primer, but I'm willing to entertain less (Depending on turnout) since my standards might be above the norm nowadays.

Just for a concept, I was thinking female half-high elf rogue/wizard. Primed and ready for adventure. Nothing too complicated. That is if you do allow multiclassing?

I completely understand, thank you so much.

So, no overt issue with multi classing. However, Wizards in Midnight are a prestige class.

Once I finish with the character sheet, I'm going to add Prestige Classes to the Adventures in Midnight doc.

Would a character with wizard class in your game be acceptable or does the character must be a Channeler class?

I don't per see Half-High Elf as an acceptable race? Would a full elf be more appropriate? Was thinking perhaps a Danisil (Jungle Elf) but they are more to druidic than arcane by reading. Not sure what race of Elf would be best suited. Caransil (Wood elf)?

Ah. I probably missed in the masses of reading, how is someone wearing armor & weapons treated in general public?

I'm guessing that spellcaster familiars are not taken well?

List of things accomplished:
Adventures in Midnight: Added Prestige Class
MNPF Character Sheet: Done, now fillable and does a lot of the math for you.
The World of Midnight: "Book 2" of the Core Rulebook, done. Not required reading but gives a lot more information about the setting.

Let me know if you see mistakes.

Wizards are a prestige class in Midnight. The primary casting class is the Channeler.

Caransil would probably be your best bet. Just going off memory. The ones with more bonuses to spellcasting.

Not... Well...

Had a somewhat amusing conversation about that, actually... But short answer, yea probably not gonna be received well either.

My two cents on magic/armor & weapons & books being forbidden, what I understand of Midnight from reading the materials, is that you have to put significant effort to hiding contraband. (Skills like Sleight of Hand and Disguise and Bluff yes but those are the tip of the iceberg.)

There are weapons that can be folded and/or disassembled. There are spells to disguise a weapon as something else.

There is the 'sword cane' from Pathfinder's own Core Rulebook.

There are hidden sheaths, arcane spells that hide objects, arcane spells that hide magic auras, false bottom chests and cups and boot heels, things of that nature.

Armor is probably more often worn under the clothing when possible, or the armor is granted by spell so it can be donned and doffed in a hurry.

As for familiars, you probably have to pass them off as pets if they are animals, and pass them off as some delusion or something if it's you talking to a spirit?

After getting a better feel for how this site works and basing off the current level of interest, we may close recruiting early or extend the deadline a little.

If we don't get a 6th, I can always fill in for the 6th until another player comes along.

Two tabletop/PbP Pathfinder 1E enthusiasts I know may be submitting applications next week, if that helps? The interest level may change very soon!

I'm hoping to submit a full application soon. I'm a high school teacher and finals are this week and next so it may be a few days. I'm very familiar with PF1 and am considering a rogue or sorcerer of some sort.
Will take a look at your reading material and produce a sheet and story soon.

No issue, can't wait to see it. Keep in mind, sorcerers are not a class in Midnight. The setting is probably much different than what you're used to. I suggest looking through the links before getting to deep into spinning up your character.

There may not be sorcerers but the Channeler can adapt into one with the right Heroic Path, including some that imitate the bloodline powers for being descended from dragons, etc. you get in Core Pathfinder!

And any rogue will be at home, their skill set fits right into Midnight like a glove.

ALSO, good luck finishing up finals and I hope it shakes out well for your students! Teachers are put in the position of fighting the good fight (against apathy, against increasingly strapped resources, and more) everyday.

Thank you!
Rogues are my go-to most of the time, so most likely the path I'll be sneaking down...

I didnt know about the setting midnight, i read a little bit and its sounds lot of fun. I won't apply, but just wanted to encourage you.

Hi all, brand new here, but a friend of mine recommended this game and I intend to submit a full application in the next day or so. Were there any holes in the party that might need filled. I'm new to the setting, so I'm currently reading the list of materials.
