Elyona was raised in the forest settlement of Shaho Thalor near the human village of Ti Foirge. The settlements in the area cooperated with each other and enjoyed a strong trade relationship. When the legions of the Grondurian Empire landed on the coast of Ketyn Myr, the trumpet calls were so loud it shook the earth itself. The Legio XXIV Dobania struck quickly, Ti Foirge lacked the warriors to resist leaving the highlanders laying in pools of crimson mud. Suspiciously, the legion was aware of the Elven settlement and dispatched three Centurian ranks to force them to heel. The battle was great and both sides took heavy losses, but the Elves were vastly outnumbered.

The warriors fought to hold the advancing Centuries while the noncombatants attempted to flee. One Centurian Orok Mountain Tusk, maneuvered his auxiliary units to cut off the fleeing elves, killing them with no regard to their conditions.

TUNNELS of Cruach Dhil (pronounced Kru-ak Dill)

Belar woke up in the morning as usual, nothing out of place. The tunes of metalwork singing a melody of different tones as the village's craftsmen working with the copper, tin, and iron from their ore veins. After breakfast, the noble lord conducted his routine patrol through the mines when IT happened. A low rumbling followed by the shaking of the fortification beams. The source appeared similar to a stampede in sound alone, but the volume and quake were considerably greater. Belar evacuated the areas with the greatest risk, he began patrolling the tunnels closer to the surface to investigate the strange occurrence.

Heading towards the surface gates, Belar notices a sticky liquid pouring from the tunnels ceiling, he hears the horrific cries of unknown victims facing unimaginable horror. The strong odors of copper and sulfur seeping into the soil of holding the great boulders in place.

Highlands of Indo-Canyrum; The clans live on rugged mountains, sharp drop offs that end along a coastal cropping of jagged rocks, the white foam of a salty ocean crashing into the earth. The ocean is cold, the currents are powerful, and a variety of aquatic predators lurk for an easy meal. Narrow paths with stones submerged into mud, lead to caves on the cliff faces, ancient structures with deadly secrets. The various clan holdings are closer to each other, but harsh

Ketyn Myr; A land filled with low altitude, rugged mountains and hillside ranges only slightly short of a mountainous definition. The clans live in small settlements which are scattered by vast distances. Usually the holdings require a full day or two of forced marching to reach their neighbor settlements. Along the most distant travels, old cathedrals and deserted forts stand as lone structures in the landscapes. The clans of this land have as many rivalries as allies and any turn can lead to a long standing feud. Groves of forests have been cultivated to grow in terrain that avoids the most travelled routes. While the men farm the fields or hunt game in the shadowed canopy of the oak and pines, teenage kids tend to flocks of sheep along nearby hillsides.

Low lands of Gorlyn Krag; Settlements here are coastal trading centers, villages larger than the clan settlements in the Eastern and Western Glens, Craftsmen flourish here and foreign traders gather to purchase iron, bronze, and copperware. The villages while kin to the highland clans are Controlled by the Grondurian Empire

Ketyn Myr has long, harsh winters and short summers

Fauna: Squirrels, Deer, Badgers, Wild Cats, Mountain Hares, Otters, Seals, Wild Boar, Wolves, Brown Bear, Polar Bear
Domesticated; Sheep, Goats, Shaggy Haired Cows, Dogs, and Chickens

Flora: heather, thistle, bluebells, primrose, and Scots pine. Scottish harebell, the delicate wild orchids, and the iconic Scottish thistle.juniper, or the vibrant gorse. yew tree and the tough holly, myrtle, nettle, and wild garlic raspberries and blackberries to the heartiness of neeps (turnips) and tatties (potatoes),

Most of Ketyn Myr is comprised of settlements, clan holdings with extended families. The standard settlement numbers approximately 8 to 10 round Wattle and daub structures with a population between 50 and 120 extended families. The round houses are single room shelters and the occupants sleep in the same room with the family sleeping together promiscuously. Long, oval communal halls sit in the center of the settlement, the clans cook, celebrate, and host visitors within the hall. Palisades are built, surrounding the hold and protecting the clan's domesticated animals.

Larger villages are very few, mostly sitting along coastal areas with a dedicated dock to serve the various merchant vessels. The image of these villages comprise about 30 to 50 round houses, twenty storage halls, and guard towers, Crannog (artificial islands) dwellings were built to accommodate visiting merchants.

Halflings and Gnomes live together in shallow (compared to Dwarven Holds) cliff faces with narrow and short pathways, eventually opening into a spacious clearing. Hovels are mined out from the walls and the stones mixed with mud and dried hay to build communal structures. While human traders sell their wares in front of their dwellings our outside of the city proper, the Gnomes and Halflings established dedicated trading zones with a diverse inventory.

The Elven communities.
