Chivalry's Last Breath

Jun 14, 2025 1:42 am
Days filled with honorable competition between the Nobelist warriors in the land https://i.imgur.com/e9peVnG.jpeg and the evenings filled with wine, love, and dance https://i.imgur.com/cPdqD6k.jpeg it appeared the three Kingdoms were united in a peaceful coexistence and the art of courtly love flourished.

Outside of the castle gates presented a different world from the image the aristocracy experienced. An image that storytellers and minstrels avoided mentioning in the conversations of court as the wealthy and powerful clinked their crystal goblets and devouring wild pig over the burning spit. No, outside of the walls presented a colder more dreary life with betrayal and conspiracies brewing at every shadow.

Hello!

Thank you for the opportunity; I look forward to the game!

You mention that the sheets are on "Myth Weavers" but I already have a sheet I've formatted for this site; would it be alright to apply with that sheet, and if you find it unacceptable, I can replace it with the suggested "Myth Weavers" variant?

Whichever sheet works best for you. It doesn't matter where its from.

I don't even see an option for a 3.5 Character Sheet.

I got some help in the general forums. I think I know what the issue is now.

Cool. I'm sorry i wasn't any help, me and technology have been on non-speaking terms ever since it arrived.
HA! We're good- as long as you run a quality and consistent game, your technical skills are absolutely irrelevant! That is, as long as we don't have to submit our moves by postal mail...

Kier, do you know what character class you are submitting? I'm on the fence between two options that I'm contemplating, but I don't want to double up.

I am between Wizard and Martial-Inclined Cleric.

I was leaning towards smoke signals or Pony Express. :D

Sarge,

Would you happen to know what class Kier is submitting with? I have two in mind that I'm interested in playing but I don't want to submit the same thing.

I was thinking about playing a young knight. Human fighter, or possibly a wizard.

Well, knowing you're juggling the knight idea, I'm going to submit a wizard.

I'm thinking of starting you all in The Kingdom of Cor Nobilis(People of the Noble Heart)

The Kingdom of Cor Nobilis may appear similar to Endore, yet they are quite different. While Endore are independent from the various districts, they are willing to answer the Emperor's call within reason. The multitude of Baronies in Cor Nobilis are considerably more patriotic in word more than deed. The crown is weak and the sharks smell blood, they negotiate alliances among other Dukes and Barons while secretly betraying members in court in the shadows. They are quick to support and join the forces with neighboring Baronies against political foes. As Generations have passed, the quality of leadership from Cor Nobilis has weakened. The current King of Cor Nobilis is King Edward Chauveau, a feminine leader who tends to participate in private encounters over appearing in Court.

King Edward and Queen Carolina have a problem, the court is demanding that King Edward name an heir to the throne. Not hard right? Well Edward and Carolina have 8 children, all girls. The Queen's family, an ancient royal line has prepared the older daughters to break the cycle of weak leadership, these women are strong leaders that could bring Cor Nobilis back to prominence. However, the sharks that I mentioned are coming from every dark sewage pit imaginable. The church of Hextor and Heironeous (I know, the thought that these two rival deities agree with each other is already a dark omen) are demanding that tradition be adhered to, traditions that exclude women from ruling the Kingdom.

@Sarge

It's your call, as it's your game, but typically, all that background info, the NPC pics and maps, that stuff usually fits in better in its own separate thread within the game's forum.

Otherwise it sort of "clutters" the main page. Just some feedback.

I'm cleaning things up and haven't gotten everything. Most of the pics on here will be going to my creation thread. Thanks.

Cool deal. It wasn't meant as a complaint, just some feedback.

I'll have my guy to you before the weekend. I'm going for L2 Human Wizard.

Early on, the group has to do research; so Wizard is a great class. I know your feedback wasn't intended to be critical. I'm still learning small things on this site. I'm using the Story Development threads to clear up notes and ideas and was slowly cleaning up.

Funny you should mention that...

I like to give my characters hobbies, and I was thinking this guy could be an archaeologist and a linguist. What would you say are the top 6 or 8 languages spoken most in your region(s), and which have the most historical significance? For example, maybe there are numerous dwarven ruins, or perhaps the lands were once ruled by some sinister race of fiends who only spoke Abyssal, so it's likely that many digs will uncover scriptures and tables with that kind of writing.

Common Trade language is universal.
Languages; Orquídean, Endorian, Nobilese, Klanarian, Belichinese, Klana Belich, Orc, Draconic, Elven, Dwarven, Gnome, Goblin, Gnoll, Giant,
Bentlorian, Chou, and Jostiorn

Bentlorian, Chou, and Jostiorn are languages from distant Empires. They are used in trade.

The Wild lands in the north Klana Belich is actually three languages Klanarian and Belichinese are older languages which merged into the modern tongue. Stiill they are important for people who study ancient ruins, historical archives, and Barbarian clan 'family trees'

Orc is prominent only in the Northwest, for centuries the human clans have been raided by each other as well as Orcs, Goblin/Hobgoblin tribes, and Ogre clans. There are Half Orcs and Half Ogres. Orcish Shamans learned Belichinese alphabet and wrote according to Orcish phonics. Their writings include Orc tribes, blood lines, alliances and rivalries, historical events, and dangerous areas.

Draconic is still important for spell casters.
