Oridun grins savagely at R1, then brings his axe down on K2.
OOC:
I'd like to intimidate R1 to convince him to surrender or flee. I think I can do this as a bonus action, but if not I'll save it for another round. Also I don't think any of us have taken damage in our previous encounters, so Perses would have full hit points at the start of this combat.

Intimidation - (1d20+3)

(7) + 3 = 10

Battleaxe - (1d20+4)

(9) + 4 = 13

Bughu's arrow strikes R1 in the shoulder. The man howls in pain and looks around, apparently seeking a way out.

Oridun's arrow catches K2's neck and silences the kobold forever.

OOC:
Perses still has a round!
Nov 30, 2016 4:59 pm
Perses, seeing the kobolds drop, hefts his axe again, swinging hard at the raider. The raider is able to step back from the blow and takes no damage.

R1 turns and flees as quickly as he can, holding his wounded shoulder and running to the east. (He is one space north of the limits of the map.

R2 doesn't see how badly the battle has turned and takes a swing at Perses, but the tiefling is able to easily avoid the attack.

The kobolds continue sleeping.
OOC:
Back to your turn!

With a sneer at the man running away, Erich flings his finger out after the receding back, sending a searing bolt of fire off after him.

Casting fire bolt. Range 120'.

Erich's spell hits the man in the center of his back, flinging him to the ground and lighting him aflame.

Bughu adjusts his target to the Raider confronting Perses. He fires his longbow, aiming for the man's legs and hoping to incapacitate.

Rolls

Longbow vs R2, Damage - (1d20+7, 1d8+3)

1d20+7 : (15) + 7 = 22

Bughu's attack hits the raider right in the leg. As soon as the arrow hits, his leg buckles and he falls to the ground screaming in pain and holding the area around the arrow.
OOC:
Combat over!

I'm going to assume you merely kill the kobolds as they sleep?
Dec 1, 2016 11:33 pm
OOC:
Why? Besides we need a prisoner.
Dec 1, 2016 11:38 pm
Bughu advances forward, eyes glancing about the perimeter. He heads for the fallen man to knock him unconscious and make him stop screaming.
OOC:
I got us a prisoner, one that speaks Common.

OOC:
Outright slaughter sets a bad precedent. If you kill every enemy you defeat there's no reason for them not to do the same. I say we just leave 'em.
Dec 1, 2016 11:50 pm
Once he has quieted the wounded prisoner with the pommel of his scimitar, Bughu uses the blade to silence the kobolds.
OOC:
The archer feels otherwise, especially considering how these raiders had recently tried to kill a wounded man and his three children.

OOC:
Meh. Works for me.
Dec 2, 2016 8:32 pm
Bughu smashes the man in the head and he slumps to the ground. The archer then moves and kills the remaining kobold. As talk begins of their next step, the man stirs and awakens.

"You bastards!" the wounded man on the ground shouts, "Kill me if you want to, but the Cult of the Dragon will not stop here. You will all be devoured by our might!"
Dec 2, 2016 8:38 pm
Bughu works to tie the man's arms, then gag him into silence and covers his eyes. Bind and blind.

We still have to see to the mill. Knock him out and stash him somewhere. Not by the grate. If he comes to and starts hollering he'll draw attention to it.
Dec 2, 2016 8:49 pm
OOC:
Is there another wounded man talking? I believe Bughu's posted twice now about knocking the prisoner out.
Dec 2, 2016 8:56 pm
Bughu freezes at talk of their mission and seems to wilt; the man's ears are still working fine. "We take him back, drop him off with the Master," counters the archer. "They will question him."

He pulls the man to his feet and prepares to move the prisoner back to the tunnel. "Cover my withdrawal if you want to stay here."
Dec 2, 2016 8:56 pm
OOC:
Honestly, I wasn't sure, so I'm playing it like my attempt to knock him out failed.
Dec 2, 2016 9:05 pm
Bughu, do you need light for the trip back? Erich offers, quietly.
