Oridun takes a swing at C2's head, but the cultist takes a quick step back, causing the attack to miss cleanly.

Jon takes a swing at the side of C1's knee, but the man proves more nimble than you'd expect, jumping cleanly over the swing, causing Jon to almost overbalance from the weight of his sword.

Bughu proves, once again, that he is an expert marksman, his first arrow catching one of the crossbow wielders in the eye, sending the limp body sprawling into the grass.
OOC:
C1 is engaged with Jon
C2 is engaged with Oridun
C4 is about 20 feet back from the others, crossbows in hand.

The Kobolds are about 15 feet beyond the crossbow wielders

Hah, Bughu made that seem easy enough! I'll try!

Erich pulls out his crossbow, and sights in on whichever bad guy looks the closest to him. Wind blowing, ground dropping, move the tip up Erich. he mutters to himself. Breathing out like he'd been taught, he pulls the trigger, launching the bolt into the air.

Erich's bolt arcs through the air and looks like it's going to hit, but the wind catches it at the last moment and it sinks into the ground a couple feet to the left of C4.

C1 lands from his short hop over Jon's sword, bringing his cudgel down in an overhead chop. Jon is able to get his blade up just in time to stop the blow from caving in his skull.

C2 rushes forward behind Oridun's attack, stabbing out at the priest's chest. He connects, but Oridun's fine armor easily deflects the blow.

C4, seeing the archers on the outcropping, changes his tactics, choosing to launch a bolt at them. His bolt slices through the air right next to Bughu's chest, drawing a small line of blood across his torso (18 vs AC 15, 3 damage).

Two of the kobolds pull out slings and launch stones at the melee combatants. Both stones go flying through the air, but miss badly as the combatants move and struggle for an advantage.

The other kobolds surge forward, swarming over the outnumbered melee fighters stabbing viciously with their nasty little daggers. They score minor hits on Jon (17 and 16 vs AC 14, 3 and 4 damage)
, but Oridun's armor turns the small weapons away.

Trusting my armor to protect me from the enemies in front of me, I cast Sacred Flame on the remaining human with the crossbow. I call down the silver light of Clangeddin upon you! Dex save DC 12 or take damage.

I don't think you're being sloppy. I'm just having to scan instead of read slowly. Trying to keep up with the game and my newly mobile daughter at the same time.

Wordlessly, save for a grunt as the bolt pokes a hole in his armor, Bughu launches another arrow at the cultist with the crossbow.

C4 is engulfed by fire just as Bughu's arrow hits home. The combined attacks, once the flash of light is over, reveals the still from of the man on the ground.

Jon swing at K3, cutting deep into its neck, dropping it to the ground, then lunges at C1, catching the man by surprise. Jon's blade enters the man's stomach and goes through, bursting out from his back.

Erich curses softly to himself. Correct for what you screwed up last time. Don't get in front of Bughu. Guard from here. If they would pull them back some, get better coverage distances. I don't dare dart out, make myself a solo target.

Aw hells. Let's try it again! he says, setting another bolt to the string, aiming it at the nearest one, and loosing it into the air.

Erich's bolt flies outward toward the combat. It appears that he did learn from his mistake, as his bolt cuts down K6.

C2 stabs at Oridun, and it seems the cleric's faith in his armor was misplaced, as the cultist finds a seam in the armor. His blade stings Oridun before he is able to stop the blow from digging deeper (18 vs AC 18, 7 damage)

K1 and K2 launch their sling stones at Jon and Oridun. A stone clinks off of Oridun's armor, but the other grazes Jon's head (15 vs AC 14, 3 damage)

The kobolds in melee continue their swarming tactics, jumping around wildly and stabbing at the overwhelmed warriors. Oridun takes a single hit from the wild creatures {22 vs AC 18, 5 damage). Jon also takes a minor cut (14 vs AC 14, 2 damage)

Bughu refocuses his attention on the other ranged opponents, targeting one of the sling-wielding kobolds. As he watches the fight commence into melee, he rushes his second shot at the other kobold.

I cast Cure Wounds on myself, then spend a use of my War Priest ability to attack the human in front of me with a sideways slash of my axe.

Bughu fires off one arrow and then another before the first even comes close to landing. The first arrow hits K1 right in the chest, bringing him down and half-a-second later, the second kobold goes down as well.

Jon pulls his blade from the man and uses the momentum to swing around, cutting K4 nearly in two as it raises its dagger for a killing blow on him.
OOC:
Oridun, the war priest ability is only usable when you've taken the attack action on your turn, so it doesn't apply this round. Did you want to do your attacks or stick with healing? You could use Healing Word as your bonus action and do a regular attack instead.

C2 is engaged with Oridun, wielding a short sword

K5 is wielding a dagger and attacking Jon
K7, and K8 are also using daggers and attacking Oridun

I'll use Healing Word instead of Cure Wounds (still using a level two slot) and make a regular attack action, without using War Priest.
