- Characters start at level 1. Levels will be awarded on a narrative basis according to achievements and the story's flow. There will be no such thing as XP.
- Players are limited to the core Player's Handbook for character creation
- Roll 4d6 and drop the lowest number when determining ability scores. You are allowed to re-roll any 1s that come up if you want.
- Characters can be from any world/setting in the Prime Material Plane (Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance etc)
- Planar characters (a.k.a. native to the Planes) are not allowed
- If you want your character to have any knowledge of the Planes, they have to be the scholarly type (Mainly Bard, Cleric, Warlock or Wizard. Bards, Druids, Paladins and Sorcerers are eligible, but can know less)
- It would be useful to pick a patron deity for your character
- Pick your alignment carefully, as iy should be reflected in your actions. Living out your alignment through your actions is going to be a focal point of this campaign and if the GM believes you're deviating, they can impose a mandatory new alignment to you
