USING DESTINY POINTS TO IMPACT THE NARRATIVE
Remember, when using destiny points to impact the narrative, this is a request. Don't assume that it will be granted. As we play you'll get a better feel for what works and what doesn't. Using a destiny point to have a spare clip of ammo or two? Sure. Using a destiny point to find a disruptor rifle? Nope.
Narrative destiny requests I'm more likely to grant are like this: "I'd like a speeder taxi to show up right when we leave the cantina!" or this "Our group has a contact on this planet from when we were here 20 years ago." Your destiny requests should be plausible and make sense. The speeder taxi might get shot at. That contact from 20 years ago might be a very different person now. Ultimately, the less over the top you destiny request, the better.
Narrative destiny requests I will not grant: "I'd like a Sith assault ship to show up and mow down the troops who have us surrounded in the cantina!" or "Our group knows a Sith Lord on this planet from when we were here 20 years ago."
Your destiny requests should be plausible and make sense. And they may not always work out how you want anyway. The speeder taxi might get shot down. That contact from 20 years ago might be a very different person now. Ultimately, the less over the top you destiny request, the better. The idea is to not impact the narrative in bizarre, fantastical, or unrealistic ways.
Ultimately, I want to say yes to your requests. At the same time, I'm comfortable saying no.
