How do I determine the number of hp I have
Nov 21, 2016 8:49 pm
At first level, you get whatever your class has for a base hit point, plus whatever your constitution modifier is. For paladins, I think that is 1d10. So you'll likely end up between 10 and 14 HP, depending on how you allocate your stats.

I was reading the Handbook and it says to get with your dm if you want to do the soldier rout with your character. So to make it easier in just changed it to noble if that's cool.

really, most of the backgrounds have a bit about talking to the DM. the soldier bit is figuring out what your rank was and such. For nobles it's to figure out what your noble rank was. You'd also need to adjust your skill selection and such if you change your background (since noble offers different choices than soldier).

Ahh lol ok well then I'll switch it back to soldier. I was actually a sergeant in the marine Corp so I have some background in that. Other is that too high of a rank for my character?
Nov 26, 2016 1:01 am
Actually never mind, I think I already picked the Noble traits for my character and forgot to change it from soldier in the initial build
Nov 26, 2016 1:02 am
That works for me. Sergeants in this world tend to be higher up the chain than in the Corps (think more like a gunny or thereabouts). It fits pretty well with paladin, actually.
Nov 26, 2016 1:05 am
OK I think the only switch is the persuasive ability to intimidation. What army was I apart of?
Nov 26, 2016 2:14 am
It would be one of the dwarven armies. I'll do some more looking when I get home and have access to PDFs on a better monitor
Nov 26, 2016 3:00 am
Roger that. I'll change the appropriate stats

OK I did alot of updating to my character sheet in order to flush out my character more and make it easier for me to write a backstory if you would be so kind as to check it over at your earliest convenience and make sure that you're okay with all the changes I've made.
Nov 27, 2016 3:05 pm
At a glance it all looks good.
Nov 27, 2016 3:11 pm
Well then my only other question is should I write the backstory on this channel because my character sheet is getting quite full?
Nov 27, 2016 3:16 pm
It's up to you. Either one works for me.
Nov 27, 2016 3:35 pm
I'll set it up here. I am researching some stuff now on mountain dwarfs now so I should have a rough draft in a couple days. Just want to say thanks again and thanks for dming this campaign for us. I really appreciate it.
Nov 27, 2016 5:01 pm
Not a problem! It's been fun so far. Plus, everyone has to have a "newbie" playing experience. You guys will end up with a little more player agency and fun ability type stuff once you're free of the drow.
