Chapter 1: Lady Luck's Curtsy

Those of you that have been out in the world know how to set up camp. Some may look on Catriona with incredulity when this cultured family girl picks up a bundle of tent and stumbles a touch with it's unusual burden. However, as soon as she lays eyes upon the pieces, skill and understanding flow through her like a river through the wood. In no time, she manages to erect one of the 4 person tents and has a half-way decent fire built up.

Aera manages to find some salty deposits on a bit of rock near the top of the formation. All told you recover 3.5 lbs of salt.

As your watch cycles stretch on, nothing of interest happens. The sole meteor turns out to be the highlight of the evenings entertainments as members of your party awaken and return to slumber, each in turn, to watch for hostiles. As the sun rises in the morning, whoever is on final watch sees the morning fog clinging close to the ground begin to steam off. The skies are once again clear and the air is unseasonably warm, comfortable for sleeveless garb for even the coldest person.

Alas, one of your number decided to abandon the quest in the middle of the night, seeking their fame and fortune elsewhere! Orseas bed is empty and his pack is missing.

If you are all ready, you can get underway and (barring any interruptions) will reach to the village a little past midday.

There are not the animals you would expect. Typically there would be birds chirruping and such. Today, there is no such sound.
