As you begin your trip north, you notice the trees fade back to the west and lightly rolling plains dominate the landscape. You can easily and clearly see any threats that would come up, but you see none as the sun rises to its apex.
Aera will land with the party, "If we continue that way, there is a spot that may be a good campsite. It's probably a bit beyond a normal day's travel, but it might be worth it."
Baraq continues her reconnaissance flight, veering towards the potential campsite. She keeps her eyes focused for anything that might impact the group's progress.
"These clothes I'm wearing." Cat says, pointing out her britches and travel cloak. "That dress I'd been wearing was getting grubby. And who goes adventuring in a dress, anyway?"
"Essentials for traveling, food and warmth. I don't see what the big hurry is, we are under no deadline of any sorts. So why not leave prepared? Foolish barbarians is what they are."
OOC:
When I said skip the bit, I meant the RP aspect, I still wanted to buy the rations but didn't want to draw it out and bore people.
Foolish city dwellers. If they knew how to live off the land they wouldn't need to worry so much about supplies. I make myself comfortable in the front of the wagon, enjoying the sunlight.
That they may be to you but to they preparing is not in their nature they are essentially half animals. Thats their way of living. I can feel with them since I have always lived day to day. Never filled prepared for what rock I would have to smash first. Besides insects are very good for you I've heard.
"And what if you find no bugs? We are headed across frost-barren mountains to a tomb, it's foolish not to prepare when we have the funds and the option to. You will not have my pity when you are in pain from lack of food or frost."
As you meander your way across the plains, you find it to be a highly relaxing day. Warm sun, light breeze, just a few white clouds puffy in the sky. As the sun begins to sink, your aerial support check the potential camping spot once more and it all remains clear.
You make the clearing as the last flames of the sun start to turn the horizon crimson, purple, and orange.
