The half-ogre continues to look around, eyes flickering between Krieger and the orcs. With a scream, it pulls the axe off its back and charges at Krieger, taking a swing. The massive battleaxe swings down, burying itself in the dirt by Krieger's feet.
The orcs look back and continue to make their way out of the camp, yelling over their shoulders, You heard the lord! We should leave Grunka!

Baraq matches the half-ogre's scream with a screech of her own, rising to the challenge as her blood boils. She charges, leading with her shield to interpose herself between the creature and Krieger. When she nears the half-ogre, Baraq hops into the air to add momentum to her warhammer, smashing it downward for the head.

Baraq's hammer smashes into the half-ogre's skull, splitting it wide open. You can see the tiny gelatinous blob of gray matter through the cracks. His eyes cross and start to glass over slightly, but he stays on his feet.

With a sickening squelch, Aera's arrow plunges into the crack opened up by his avian counterpart's hammer. His eyes roll up into his skull and he wavers slightly before falling in a vile heap of flesh. As the beast falls, and the ground shudders slightly with the impact, you all feel a strange sensation of warmth washing over you, opening new pathways in your mind.

Catriona, who had let her guard down when it seemed the brutes were firmly under Krieger's control, is caught off guard by the sudden flurry of action. It's over as quickly as it began. Cat squeals in fright, and involuntary shapeshifts into an elk.

Baraq lets out a triumphant caw, and while Xavena rummages through the half-ogre's possessions, the aarakocra plucks out both of the fallen monster's eyes. One of these she tosses to Aera, for his killing shot.
