The remainder of your rest is relatively uneventful, when compared to the flurry of activity you had. As the sun crests the hill the next morning, you make preparations to break camp and head out.
As you set out, you notice that it is considerably warmer than it was yesterday. You can see the low-lying mists across the plains and foothills baking off as it becomes clearer that today is going to be oppressively hot.
As you ride along, the foothills form a constant backdrop along your journey. You spend an easy five days travelling, with little else happening. There were a few beasts that looked like they may approach but turned away at the size of your retinue. As the sun reached its peak on the fifth day, you spot a well-groomed road off in the distance, running vaguely north to south.
