Here be chatter. We can also choose the city here.

As the first player here, I'll throw out my suggestion of Warsaw, Poland as a potential city to play in. It has everything you expect from a major metropolitan megacity, like high-rise skyscrapers, an active nightlife, and massive population density, as well as older districts and buildings from almost every major European architectural style and historical era. Plus it's not one of the 'traditional' big European cities like London, Paris, Berlin, or Rome, and I'm a bit of a hipster like that.

For random chatter, most European countries have rather restrictive gun laws compared to the United States, which seems to be the assumed setting, given the fact that most archetypes start with one or several firearms. I can't really think of anything to do about this other than just ignore it (unless we want to houserule everyone's starting equipment), but I just wanted to through it out there.

I'm aware of the more restrictive gun laws, that's half the fun of it. Just as you would need to conceal the use of your powers from the normals, you will also need to conceal your weapons. I'm sure it's possible to get firearms in any major city if you know who to talk to, and considering that PCs in this game become very good at getting things I recon those who start with guns are fine to have them.

Warsaw is a pretty good suggestion actually, really shows potential and is found in the heartlands of most of the myths source material builds from...

What do the others think?

It's your game and wherever we go I'd likely to some background research if we're suppose to be from there or if we're a new player in the city so to speak. With that said if Warsaw's an option I'd submit Prague and Budapest as well as suggestions.

I agree with Remnant, if we're going to be playing in a real city, I'm going to be hitting Wikipedia. There's not much point in picking an actual, existing city (as opposed to inventing our own, purely fictional one) if we don't know anything about said city.

And Prague and Budapest also sound like good potential cities, although admittedly I haven't done too much looking at each of them as of right now. It seems like we have sort of a Central/Eastern European vibe going on so far, which I kind of like. It also fits thematically with having Vampires, Werewolves, and whatnot running around amok, as Genisisect mentioned previously.

It also gives us a bit of wiggle room on things that are a bit sketchy...

Lets stick with Warsaw. Also seeing as that final slot isn't filling we may as well start kicking this off... We can introduce an extra character as we play if someone turns up. I will be loosely sticking to what I can look up about Warsaw, but I might make minor augmentations (as are you all can too) to the source material. After all as the rule book says it's our city...

Lets try and nut out archetypes quickly so we can jump into the real fun part of this game...

So a Wizard and a Vampire no chatter from the third player yet?
