OOC Discussion

Decided we needed a place for other chats.

Also, I created a secret Sub forum for me to keep notes on. Can anyone see it? It is pretty obviously called "GM Secrets". It is blank right now so there's nothing to see.

Nope, it's super secret.

Cool, thanks Hageru.

Ooo, how do you do that? I've wanted to make one of those for my Urban Shadows game, but I haven't really put time into exploring the administrative controls.

Well, first I created the sub-forum. Then went into the administrative controls. I clicked the key icon (it says permissions when you hover over it) next to the forum I wanted to change. You should see the list of names for yourself and the players with [Create] next to each name. When you click the [Create] it will change to [Edit][Delete]. Click [Edit] on one of the player names and you will see three columns of Yes/Inherit/No. Change the "Read" option to NO...the red one, and then scroll to the bottom and click SAVE. Repeat for each player. Do not mess with yourself since you are the GM, though I read it wouldn't change anything for yourself since you are an admin on that game forum. You could change more than the "Read" option, but without that they can't see it to do anything else.

You could do more with the settings, like make a player a moderator to help GM, but I haven't had a reason too.

So fellow adventurers, do we meet and discuss our letters? Sister Rose would be up for that. She's not terribly secretive, other than with regard to her order.

I think we should cut immediately to the action and decide what we did/discussed afterwards, no?
Besides Makcot said we had 1/2 an hour!

So i'd like to add an avatar of Arras to use as my character posts. How would I do that?
Dec 7, 2016 2:17 am
Go to your character sheet. When you hit edit, there's a spot in the upper right where you can "Change Avatar". That's where you upload the file.

Great thanks. I see the dice roller in the tools section but how do we roll within a post?
Dec 7, 2016 11:41 pm
When you hit "Advanced" in a game thread, you have option to add dice rolls. You can label it something like "Hit ogre with sword" then put in the roll of 2d6 + STR for example.

Naat put together a lovely new player guide here which should have more detailed info.

Hey folks, December is usually a busy time anyway, but we had a death in ourban close group of friends. With the holidays coming, I'll try to get online, but I may not be available until Christmas.

Hey all,

I'll be slowing down a bit - my exams are coming up early January and this week in particular is fairly loaded. Next week might be more feasible for me though.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey gang. Sorry I fell off the face of the earth unexpectedly. The electric furnace in my house went out and we woke up freezing (I live in Indiana). We scrambled to figure out what to do...then I got sick. I was utterly bed ridden and had no energy to open my eyes and look at a computer. I seem to be better now, so hopefully I'll be back to posting.

@Taej - So sorry to hear that.

@Hageru - Good luck. we will be here when you get done.

I've never played a magic user before and I have a question about the Arcane Duelist. My Arcane Bladework move states: When you attempt to incorporate magic into a melee attack, roll +int.

✴ On a 10+, deal your damage and apply 1 technique.

✴ On a 7-9, deal your damage and apply 1 technique, and your opponent attacks you.

Is that 1 technique I already have or 1 of any of the techniques?

One technique you already have.

We done with this? If Maskot and the others want to continue we could kick the nonresponsive parties.
