Can't Change Profile Avatar

I recently decided I want to change my avatar, but I tried and it wouldn't let me. I went to my profile via the Profile Options (top right, under avatar) and changed my avatar, but I could not get the page to save and, having hit "Save" several times, had to leave the page without changing it.
Help, please?

Mind sending me a copy of your avatar? I can see if maybe something funny in the image my code can't account for. And I'm guessing, based on what you said, no errors came up?

I've been hearing more than a bit of trouble with the UCP as of late; I may have to stop working on the FLGS Finder to fix those up.

I had this trouble with my first avatar, and the problem was the size of the file. There is some sort of restriction but I can't remember what it is.

For me, the issue was image size and misreading. It has to be larger than 150x150 px. I read it as smaller than.

Is attaching it here enough, Keleth, or do you need it in another form? Can I email it to you?

I want to add my avatar to Call Of Cthulhu posts in a game I've just joined (Cthulhu in Chicago), but no menu comes up on my posts to select it. Any ideas?

If you mean your character's avatar, first check if that character has been approved by the GM. Then when you post you will have an option in the drop-down menu to "Post As" your character, and the avatar will be automatically shown.

My character has been approved (I think - it is listed under the game). However I don't get the drop down menu when I post. I know what to expect because I am in other games, but this is my first CoC, so wondered if that's the issue. Maybe I should wait a few days for some magic to happen?

Being listed under the Game Details page does not mean the character has been approved. Send a note to your GM to rule out that possibility.

I have a weird avatar issue.

I tried changing it, and it doesn't show.
When I go to my profile page, it shows the new avatar, but in actual posts, and in the upper right corner of the screen, it's still the old one.

It gets weirder.
I have tried the 'delete avatar' function, and this worked perfectly, no avatars showing anywhere, and when I tried to upload my new avatar, somehow my old one is what shows up next to my posts and in the upper right corner of the screen.

I have tried this with half a dozen new avatars of varying sizes now. Also tried clearing cookies.

Aaand the new avatar just randomly came through just now.

Weird.

Yah, sorry, that's your browser caching. I never built good image cache refresh in this version of the site :/
