OOC:
man, looking over Claire's sheet and I'm really at a loss for what to do...there really needs to be a bit more guidance in character creation. You have to have a combat skill. let's just skip Claire for now.

Ham Bone?

OOC:
I am painfully aware of this. Most of my income this round will go towards getting a pistol. I have something I could do but I'm sure as hell never going to do it (run into melee). I'm a bit disappointed about the lack of use of some of leadership in combat, I feel like it should offer some advantage to my allies having a confident person at the back yelling things.

Ham-Bone fires another shot toward the dark, shambling forms. The muzzle flash briefly illuminates the sickly pale C's. A dull thud tells Ham-Bone that he has taken out another Casualty.

Feb 16, 2017 12:14 am
OOC:
Go ahead and roll it. It's close enough to get over to it. It's kinda between you and the warehouse.

Home Run splits the Casualty's head open. The last remaining Casualty in the office building shuffles toward Ham Bone. Its pupils are dilated and do not constrict as it walks into the sunlight shining in from the doorway.

The pace of the apologies coming from within the office quickens and sound more frantic.
OOC:
Next turn the Casualty will be able to attack Ham Bone unless he moves.

Initiative
Loan Shark: 10
Claire: 8
Ham Bone: 5
Home Run: 4
Casualties: 0

Back to Loan Shark
Feb 24, 2017 4:51 am
From his hidaway Loan tries to direct the others according to what he's observed. Guys, the Vector is on the move. Run you'll need to block the door, let's try to contain it in the building. Ham, go ham on the Cs that got out.
OOC:
Readying again.
Feb 25, 2017 1:57 am
Claire leans towards Ham as she starts grabbing some tools out of her backpack, Take out that C and buy me some time to brace the door
OOC:
Claire is taking a second ready action to move to the top of next round.

Initiative
Claire: 8
Loan Shark: 10
Ham Bone: 5
Home Run: 4
Casualties: 0

Go for it Ham Bone.
Feb 25, 2017 6:23 pm
Ham-Bone cannot bear to listen to the apologies knowing what they mean. The wooden stock is slippery in Ham-Bone's now sweaty hands, He raises his rifle to take out the last C. The casualty drops like a stone. The easy part is over, Ham-Bone thinks to himself.

Rolls

Shoot B - (1d10+2)

(4) + 2 = 6

Stealth R - (1d10)

(2) = 2

Run moves back to the rest of the group, scanning all round for signs of more casualties
Mar 1, 2017 2:34 am
The last C in the building falls and Claire gets to work trying to brace the door to keep the Vector trapped inside. She uses some nearby scrap and manages to jury rig a pretty respectable door jam. That should hold. Right, Theo? The dog yips happily in acknowledgement. The apologies have subsided and been replaced with a slow, rhythmic pounding on the interior door.
OOC:
The threat is over for now, but dawdling would not be a great idea. The warehouse has yet to be explored and there's also the field of cars/residential areas of the sanctuary.

Rolls

Brace the Door (B,R) - (1d10+3, 1d10)

1d10+3 : (2) + 3 = 5

1d10 : (4) = 4

Mar 1, 2017 2:44 am
Ham-Bone joins the others but remains alert and holds his rifle at the ready. Shall we check the warehouse?
Mar 1, 2017 4:01 am
Jogging a bit to catch up with the others, Yes, lets get in there, get loot and get out...
Mar 3, 2017 1:17 am
As you approach the warehouse, you can clearly see the bay doors are open and it appears the carnage continues inside. A set of large, deep tire tracks lead away from the warehouse and out the section of demolished wall nearby. The tracks near the wall are obscured by the large path of muddy footprints that lead out of the enclave.
Mar 3, 2017 1:50 am
Looks like they abandoned the sanctuary. Hopefully they did it in a hurry so there's some bounty to be had...
Mar 3, 2017 2:02 pm
I sure am glad I wasn't here when this went down. Let's have a look. Cautiously, Ham-Bone approaches and looks inside the warehouse, keeping an eye out for any movement.

Rolls

Awareness B - (1d10+2)

(10) + 2 = 12

Awareness R - (1d10)

(5) = 5

Mar 3, 2017 5:45 pm
Out in the field you had seen a massacre. Here in the loading bay of the warehouse, you have stumbled upon the remnants of a war zone. A fair number of the corpses here are Casualties, but strewn among them are unturned people in both civilian and tactical gear. Bullet holes pepper the walls and it is clear even from here that there was probably a lot more supplies on the shelves than there used to be.
Mar 5, 2017 2:32 am
Ham-Bone whistles at the scene before him. Carefully, he enters the warehouse. He's looking for anything of value either on the corpses or anything that has been left behind.

Rolls

Scavenge B - (1d10+2)

(10) + 2 = 12

Scavenge R - (1d10)

(4) = 4

Mar 10, 2017 4:14 am
OOC:
Reviewed the scavenge roll rules (p. 152).
For future reference, prior to the roll you specify whether you're looking for:

1. Any tool under 3 bounty in upkeep (or a Refresh for any such item) - On a success you find it.
2. Bounty - On a success you get the natural black die value in Bounty
3. An upgrade to a specific piece of gear you own. - On a success you find it.

So let me know which you were looking for. Also, since you are literally rifling through dead bodies that is a potential Detachment threat, give me a Self-Control Roll.

If anyone else want to scavenge, let me know what you're looking for and give me both a scavenge and a detachment roll.
