Background Information
It is the year 6147 AI (After Imperialization). As with each age after the imperialization of Delmarra, the High Elven family of Bloodflower sits atop the Gilded Throne. The current Empress, Val'ekanyth, is a just ruler and is nearing her fifth regnal century. Every four years, she hosts all the sovereigns of the empire at the Glorious Temple of Light to assess the health of the empire. For millenia now, this has been a simple practice, with nothing major coming of it. However, the most recent set of meetings, stretching over the last eight years, has seen a lot of hostility between the kingdoms of Markindale and Telluria.

Queen Evelyn of Markindale has contended that their ability to provide food and goods to the rest of Delmarra has been severely restricted by Telluria's control of the Ephraim River Junction, where the primary spurs break off. At the meeting eight years ago, concerns were raised and nothing was done beyond that. Four years ago, Evelyn made it clear that she would broker no further delay from the Gilded Throne in redrawing the lines of the kingdom to allow Markindale to control the Junction as part of their responsibility as the food source. This incensed King Anvilard. He declared in his lifetime, this would never occur. The Empress cautioned them both to calm their tempers before blood was shed. Unfortunately, neither side was willing to listen. Shortly after, skirmishes and hostilities broke out all along the Southern Spur of the Ephraim. These skirmishes lasted for the intervening four years until the most recent meet. Final insults were launched and Anvilard stormed out of the meeting, his voice ringing a declaration of war throughout the Temple.

For the last eighteen months, Markindale and Telluria have been engaged in all out war. The Glorious Order of the Southern Expanses has taken to the field, bringing the fight to the lands of Markindale directly. King Anvilard has gone to battle with them. In the interim, one of his vassals, Baron Wessex saw an opportunity to take The Court of the Three Lords for himself. As senior vassal to Anvilard, he took command of all non-engaged Tellurian forces and has begun a tyrannical rule over the Tellurians. He is almost universally hated by the citizenry for his harsh taxation enforcement and his use of his private guard to obtain those fees.

Key Figures
Val'ekanyth Bloodflower - The High Elf Empress of Delmarra. She has been in power for over 400 years, and is rapidly approaching 500 years. She is nearly 650 years old and is a mighty force in her own right. Few know the depths of her powers, yet all know that she has a vast set of them.

Eduard Sedian II - The Human King of Brevia. He has been in power for only a few years. He took over the throne after the passing of his father, Eduard Sedian I, the first of the Sedian line of Brevian rulers. He is a strong combatant and devotee of The Light.

Beverly Stormhawk - The Wood Elf Queen of Valonois. She has ruled The Gate of the Ephraim for 230 years. With the voice of an angel, a wit sharper than most, and a lighting tongue, she keeps one eye on the sea at all times.

Renarruk Anvilard - The Human King of Telluria. He has an interesting position. Telluria is technically ruled by three monarchs, though only one is in ascendancy as the Sovereign at any time. When not in ascendancy, the other two monarchs retain the title of Baron. Rennaruk has been in his position for 16 years, most of which have been plagued by hostile talk and hostile acts from Markindale. He is currently a-field in Markindale waging a campaign against Queen Evelyn.

Evelyn DiNorrian - The Tiefling Queen of Markindale. Sometimes called The Demon Farmer, Evelyn has reigned for 20 years. The focus of her reign has been seizing The Empraim River Junction for Markindale as the chief supplier of food. She is incensed at paying Telluria taxes to have the luxury of providing food to the world.

Father Ecklund and Mother Daerynne - Twin High Elves that have ruled the Faith and directed the worship of The Other throughout Delmarra. They answer to no mortal power on Delmarra.
