Has anyone reported an issue with the FFG Star Wars dice roller not tallying net success and failure results when Triumphs and Despairs are rolled? They don't count the success and failure element of those rolls when calculating the totals

The above example should have worked out to a total of 1 Success, 3 Threat and 1 Triumph

I thought I corrected that. It should be easy enough to fix.

How do you figure? Last I checked 2 -2 = 0.

There were 2 successes from the green dice plus 1 on the yellow (part of the triumph) so should have still been one net success - bit of a bad example that one as you could argue that the triumph counts as a net success but I've seen it where it showed as one net failure but due to a triumph the net fail should have been cancelled out

If you have net Threats (or Failures) before figuring in a Triumph, the Triumph counts as a Success and an Advantage.

So this result should have been 1 Success, 2 Threats.

Thanks, was unaware of that. Good to know.

Erm, it doesn't count as an advantage as well, just a success

Sorry, forgot about this, I'll get back to fixing it. But also seems like I don't fully follow the mechanics. Anyone know where in the book it is? I can look it up to get a better idea.

Pg. 12 of the EotE book: "First each Triumph symbol also counts as one Success, in every means previously defined as a Success. This means the Success portion of a Triumph symbol could potentially be cancelled by Failure symbols generated during the same skill check."

Also on a despair result that counts as an additional failure (EotE book pg 13-14 for the despair write up).

I was thinking the simplest way to 'fix' it may be to add a success symbol to the triumph result on the yellow dice and a failure symbol to the Despair result on the red but I wasn't sure how feasible that would be.....
