The basic premise is that every character has a tendency to excel at certain things better than others. To reflect that mechanically, during character creation (and can be acquired later on), the player designates a couple of his Skills as being Favored. On a physical character sheet, this is indicated by underlining the Skill. Skill Groups work the same way. (each row of Common Skills corresponds to the Skill Group on the far right).
It's also possible to have a Favored Weapon. Considering that the weapons are a text field on the char sheet, that might just be a matter of updating them to allow for BB code and the players using the bold brackets when typing it in.
When a player fails a roll, he can spend a point of Hope to add the pertinent Attribute score (Body, Heart, Wits) to the roll in the hopes of turning the failure into a success. If the roll was for a Favored skill, he adds the Favored Attribute score instead.
As the char sheets are currently, the only place to indicate which Skills are favored are in the Notes field. Which means a lot of scrolling up and down to check to see which are favored or not.

And on another note, I also just noticed that the Specialties and Distinctive Features fields aren't saving either.
