Character Creation

Hello there everyone. I'm a bit late to the party I admit.

Hey everybody ! First time playing pbp for me, hope I'll fit right in ! English is not my first language so if I make a few mistakes, I won't mind if somebody corrects me.

I'll roll my stats now but I don't know what I'll play yet....
I want to look at the party composition and read a few post to get the feel of the game, but I should have a character ready by tomorrow.

Still getting used to the dice rolling feature...
so my stats will be 11,14,15,15,12,15

Edit: just realised that my rolls are high because I forgot to remove the lowest dice... sorry...
...so final results should be 16,14,13,13,12,10

I have to much choices I'd like for my character lol....
What do you guys like to see in your party ?
A barbarian, a cleric, a druid, a fighter or a rogue ?...

Can I do a Dex based Barbarian that can add his rage bonus on dex attacks ?
If yes, that will be my character ! The race would be Tabaxi (from Volo's guide to monsters) or a shifter (from the unearthed arcana on eberron) or a stout halfling.....

we have 2 wizards, a monk, a ranger, and a bard currently. a healer could be nice for any risky situations, but it is your call. I am also allowing homebrew so if you find something let me know and send me the link :)

Indeed. A healer or any melee-based class should suffice. We have plenty magic-users.

I think I'll go for a Cleric (Life)...

For the race can I use a hill dwarf but switch his bonus ? (Wis+2 & Con+1 instead of Con+2 & Wis+1)

And can I homebrew a cantrip that would be like shillelagh...

oups, my con bonus (+6 for 3 lvls) and my dwarven toughness (+3 for 3 lvls) didn't kick in... so 29 hp total

nevermind I found how...I submited my character sheet, so when everything is in order just give me the go sign when you want me to arrive on scene ! Hope I'll be of some help to you guys
