"The last time you said that, we barely got out of there. I'm not saying don't go in, we just gotta be more careful is all." I look around for an elevator. They gotta have one of those, right?

OOC:
Generally if it's something you wouldn't need to exert yourself to do, you don't need to roll. You are superheroes, after all.
About halfway up, Omen has in her sight at least the location Polaris told her about. She can also see that they aren't alone.
OOC:
Omen, take a powerful blow. Roll is +the number of conditions you have marked. No one else can see this yet.
Feb 4, 2017 9:11 pm
Omen braces herself!
OOC:
That's not good.

Rolls

Take a powerful blow - (2d6+0)

(65) = 11

Feb 4, 2017 9:26 pm
OOC:
I am so, so sorry about that.
[ +- ] Take a powerful blow
You all hear the gunshot ring out, and see Omen knocked off one of the support beams. As she's falling someone else walks out from the half-built upper floors. A woman wearing a white cloak and twirling a long metal staff looks down at you and raises a hand to her face. You hear some unseen loudspeaker activate. "Huh, I expected better than this."
Feb 4, 2017 9:28 pm
Hecate leaps trying to catch Omen.

Rolls

2D6 roll not sure which label to use. - (2d6)

(33) = 6

Feb 4, 2017 9:31 pm
OOC:
It looks like you're all entering battle against a dangerous foe! You now have three points in the Team pool. You can spend one of these to describe how you aid a teammate, giving a +1 to their roll.

Who is the leader in this combat? if they have Influence over everyone, add another Team.
If everyone in the fight has the same purpose, add a Team.
If any member of the team mistrusts the leader, subtract a Team
If your team is ill-prepared or off-balance, subtract a Team.
Feb 4, 2017 9:32 pm
OOC:
Hecate, that would probably be a roll to defend someone. Roll +Savior.
Feb 4, 2017 9:36 pm
(Yikes my Savior is -1 )
Feb 4, 2017 9:37 pm
OOC:
Then that is a failure, but mark your potential track.
Feb 4, 2017 9:45 pm
Mimic reaches out and attempts to catch Omen, forming a bubble around her and using it to slow her fall. "This situation is less than ideal."
OOC:
Since that's a hit I am going to take Influence over Omen.

Rolls

Defend Someone - (2d6+2)

(62) + 2 = 10

Feb 4, 2017 9:56 pm
Omen, taken so suddenly by surprise, doesn't make a sound as the gun fires. She simply falls.
OOC:
I imagine that falling off of the structure would count as giving ground, so I'll take a 2nd option from that list and mark two conditions. Getting hit like that in front of all of her friends is making her feel Insecure about herself and Angry toward the shooter.
Feb 4, 2017 10:01 pm
The woman holds the staff out and appears to float down a few dozen feet above you all. You can see that she's wearing all white and has a sugar skull pattern painted on her face. "Really. I expected them to send Blitz at least, but the B team? I'm almost insulted."
Feb 4, 2017 10:31 pm
Caught by Mimic's bubble, Omen clutches at her stomach during her slow descent and hisses at the skull-faced stranger, "Guess that shows what they think of you, then."

How do we determine who the leader is? I think we all have the same purpose, but we are certainly ill-prepared.
Feb 4, 2017 11:40 pm
OOC:
We basically just agree on who should be the leader. OOC, I'm fine with anyone. :) IC, Omen would likely not see herself as a leader, and whether or not she'd follow, she would see Procyon or Polaris as the most likely candidates. I also think that we're ill-prepared. Or at least Omen is.

Additionally, whoever is picked leader, you can suffer a Condition to avoid us losing a point of Team for one of the reasons during the Entering Battle Against a Dangerous Foe Move.

"So you pulled that whole stunt just to get attention? Wow, I thought I had problems." Behind the mask, I'm maybe kinda freakin' terrified. But my friends are with me, so we can totally figure this out together! I hope. I glance over at Procyon and Crow. One of them will know what to do.
OOC:
Cammy also sees Procyon as the leader (and Crow to a lesser extent). Plus Procyon's the oldest and therefore wisest, maybe.
Feb 5, 2017 2:20 am
As she floats down, Aeon Crow marks the spot where the woman stepped out from, and BRRAPP teleports himself there. From higher than her, he eyes the situation, looking for a way to distract her from harming his friends.

"Ha, you've got a brown streak up the back of your shirt, Padma!" he calls out. Balls! You moron, she has a gun!
Feb 5, 2017 3:01 am
OOC:
Polaris would also consider Procyon the leader.
For a moment she forgot to breathe as she saw Omen free-falling. But seeing her caught safely in Omen's bubble and moving, Polaris whirled back towards the woman as Aeon attempted to provoke her. No way she was hurting anyone else.

The girl thrust her arms forward, that familiar blue glow enveloping her hands as matching energy began to swirl around the woman, Polaris attempting to bind her limbs and limit her movement. "Bind her, bind her, bind her," she uttered, struggling to focus herself.
OOC:
Actually, I might have needed to roll Engage a Threat on this instead? I have the same bonus either way though, so the 5 result would be the same

Rolls

Unleashing her powers to try and limit the opponent's movement! - (2d6+2)

(12) + 2 = 5

Feb 5, 2017 3:36 am
As Omen is lowered to the ground, I move as close to her as the bubble allows, making eye contact. "We'll show that bitch what happens when someone messes with one of us. It's going to be ok."
OOC:
When you comfort or support someone, roll + Mundane. On a hit, they hear you: they mark potential, clear a condition, or shift Labels if they open up to you. On a 10+, you can also add a Team to the pool or clear a condition yourself.
Current Team Pool= 4
