Chapter One: An Urgent Summons

The wind whipping up and pulling his hood back to expose his ear to the bitter cold, he quickly pulled it back into place. The only thing he knew of his elven heritage, other than his sharper than normal ears and the inability to grow a proper beard, was that only one of his parents had been an elf. This much he knew because of how he was treated when in the company of elves, and some humans. He tried not to think of it, as even the bitter cold was a more pleasant traveling companion than the memories of how people had treated him over something for which he had no control.
She sings, Softly falls the winter snow... Whispers to the sleeping world below... Winter tide a-wakes. Morning breaks and set the earth a-glow. she breathes in rhythm with the music, and continues to sing with a smile, In gentle tones of warmest white, proclaim the glory of auroras light. Sparrow sings in a clear, clean voice. A sweet silver carol for the season born. Radiant wings as the skies rejoice! Arise and illuminate the morn.... Her voice decrescendos for a moment, and she sings much softer, and slower, Softly falls the morning snow... Whispers to the sleeping world below... Glo-o-o-ooww she crescendos, her voice echoes across the empty land, vibrato elegant and gentle- she again softens Like the softly falling snow.... Glooo--oooooow she ends with a lower pitch, her viol elongating a final note Glow. she smiles, as she approaches the city. Can't wait to perform after I speak with the Lord.
The Half-elf continues to glide, the cold air nips at the points of her ears- her looks are definitely more from her elven mothers side. Her personality, and love for adventure, entertainment, and meat especially comes from her human father. She just recently graduated from the college of lore, and wanders the country performing at inns for her career. She already was headed to Lighthill for a job when she got the letter.
I've gotten used to the stares at my horns, wings and tail. They used to anger me enough that I took rash actions. Now I pay them no mind. People are afraid of that they don't understand. When folk hear my words or see my deeds, they know I am so I much more than my heritage.
"I see you answered my summons," he says. While in the building you can see several groups of people cowering and crying. "The clerics are saying the village is going to be destroyed be some rock. They say it is because of the god Mityx. While I am not a religious man, I take these threats very seriously. Several groups of King's Rangers have already started escorting people out. There are three families here who need to be escorted out of harm's way and into Pavelton, to the southeast."

"Where might we find these families that need our assistance? If the need for help is as dire as you say then we haven't got any time to waste.

The cold is biting and painful despite his efforts to cover himself from it. He ponders about the decision he made to join the King's Rangers as continuing his trapping trade would have him dwelling in warmer lands. He shakes it off, knowing that it wouldn't have lasted much longer.

"I still like the plan of leaving him behind to deal with his fate when he wakes up, but as long as I have no responsibility to care for him in, during his slumber or after, do with him as you wish."
With that Sinnj walks off to find a mount that would be suitable for him.
If we are to take him along, he will either need to be bound and tied to a horse to keep him from falling off, or woken up. I would like to remind everyone that our first interaction with him was dodging arrows, so I can only imagine what he will think to wake up tied to a horse. It would be worth the effort to disarm him completely, if you are planning on waking him prior to placing him on a mount of his own.
