Probably not your father, that's a bit too close a relationship for me, I think... but how about your grandfather? That way we could still have a family connection.

I suppose that is a possibility but then your son would have died in the battle.

I think that could work - I see Arnvik as a good-hearted but very strict and traditionalist cleric. That could easily be a kind of defensive coping strategy that he fell into when trying to manage the grief of losing his son.

He wouldn't be a very loving or supportive grandfather, though. He's critical of everyone, most especially of himself. So don't get your hopes up for any joyful family reunions. ;)

No, I was looking for a Critical person after all my father didn't want me In the battle.

Ah, very good. Well we can argue about you disobeying your father, and also your choice of "profession".

I had the family name "Greatforge" pencilled in, did Knurd already have a family name you were using? Happy to adjust.

No Hoping somebody would choose to be Related and Didn't want to make them change.

Haha, fair enough. Happy with Greatforge, then?

Also, let me know what you've established so far about your father / my son. I'm enjoying this idea!

While he was unnamed but lets Call him Gorik Greatforge,
He was a captain in the army and ordered me not to follow him to war telling me to stay and Protect the people of the city. I ignored him and so found my way into the battle.

Religion: Devotly followed Mordian
Relationships: Tried to befriend everyone in his unit but somewhat forgot about me with his constant training for battle. would he have forbade you from fighting in the battle?
Alignment: LG

Okay, Arnvik is submitted for approval. I haven't added a proper backstory yet, because I'm not sure exactly the circumstances under which he ended up frozen, or how he will be introduced to the ongoing campaign - Lunitar, happy to work with you on that so that he ends up wherever he needs to be.

He's a gruff, stern Forge Cleric and a firm believer in preserving the old ways. He was already 270 years old when he was frozen.

He was turned to stone during a battle and the last adventurers found your group by accident.

Ah, okay - so the idea is that he's already part of the current adventuring party?

Yes, you were a statue frozen in a room with other statues. A vial broke and released you from your stone imprisonment, however you got to be that way is up to you.
