That's great to hear!
So I'll go ahead and share my character bio. I came up with him before joining this game, so there's some great role play opportunities in light of OOLIN. I thought maybe he could take the place of helping repair her mechanical parts since the character that originally served in this capacity has left.

Guddus - Mechanical Nano who Talks to Machines
Guddus was raised by a woman who was biomechanical; 80% of her was mechanical with the only biological part being her brain, nervous system, and skin. He certainly favored her looks-wise; not only did she resemble him enough to appear to be his mother when he was younger, she referred to herself as his mother and to him as her son. As he got older he questioned him on hers and his origins, as he is completely human, but she never gave him an answer as if bore no relevance whatsoever.
From time to time she would call on him to repair parts of her system, which she would teach him or he would learn how to do on his own intuitively. He found himself quite ambivalent about performing these repairs; while the numenera-driven workings of her system fascinated him endlessly, he also found it disturbing due to the fact that this was his own mother.
Even though she never appeared to age (which led to people to often believe she was instead his sister), the mechanical portion of her system began to wear down over time. No matter how well he performed replacements or how high quality of parts he would give her, it was as if the numenera was slowly dissipating from her. When he reached the age of 20, her system finally shut down and he lost her.
To this day Guddus is nearly obsessed with numenera machines and devices, wanting to understand them, study them and use them. As much as he is deeply drawn to ciphers, oddities, and artifacts, he finds biomechanical beings, including and especially humans, from off-putting to repugnant. The more apparent the biomechanical nature, the greater the aversion he finds to it.
