As Crash bent down to examine the body, his attention was drawn to a strange section of skin peeking from his shirt - it appeared to be some sort of synth fused to the flesh. The synth was shaped in a series of interlocking hexagons, starting at the base of the man's neck and continuing beneath the jerkin.
At the leader's side lay the greatsword he had wielded. It seemed to be made of good quality, and the fire didn't seem to have damaged it in any way.~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Zandoran and Ythrinda start their journey back into the forest, a trio of shadows briefly pass over them. Looking up, they spot three golden creatures flying overhead, seemingly following the path of the river upstream.

The greatsword is a Heavy, two-handed weapon, and deals 6pts of damage. Crash inspects the sword and tests it's strength by biting on it a little at various points. He resolves himself to have a new metal cooking slab if they don't find someplace to sell it. Ripping off the man's shirt he inspects the oddity.
"Anyone know... what this do?" Crash asks aloud looking at the others wondering how to rip it off the body if no one had any idea what he was talking about.

Guiding Ythindra back through the forest is relatively easy and Zandoran takes the time to gently admonish his employer for running away M'lady, how am I supposed to watch over you if you insist on running away, thankfully nothing happened, this time. But what if there had been more of them in the bushes... And thankfully you didn't sprain an ankle tripping over a root

Hey Guys... everyone alright after the fight? As I was hauling Ythindra out of the river we saw three golden flying creatures heading upstream. Anyone have any ideas what they are or where they could be headed??

So, right now—as far as location/proximity goes: Mig, OOLIN, and Zip are on the road.
Crash is in the bushes near one of the fallen bandits.
And Zandoran and Ythrinda are in the woods across the road by the stream, but heading back to the road.
The dude with the cart has headed off up around the bend.
The bandits scattered (but might come back to finish what they started).
Does that sound about right?

@jabes.plays.rpg - you can definitely take a 10min rest (based on the OOC thread, @godric and @remnant were doing likewise)To recap the situation, all the PCs have reconvened near where you had originally met Khoj. Everyone is within Short range of eachother. Khoj has fled up the path pulling his cart. As he won't be moving very fast, it would be an simple matter to catch up to him. The bandits have fled away from the fight and fire, disappearing into the forest. If you wanted to follow them, I'd need a tracking roll, but it wouldn't be too difficult as they were in a hurry to escape.

Ythindra's pride requires that she ignore Zandoran's admonishment. Instead, she focusses on Crash's find, and examines the synth flesh.

"Flying creature... too high to eat..." Crash spouts wisdom from his point of view and stays still squatting watching others look over the body trying to figure things out so he does what Crash does. He sniffs the body and licks it to mark it for 'dibs'. He sniffs the odd skin as well. He's pretty sure it's not good eats already trying to think of something useful to say at looking at it for some time. After that he'll rest for a bit.

Confused by the oddity, Ythindra stands and looks at the others. "I agree, the birds seemed interesting enough. It gives us a random goal to pursue in case these ragabouts return with reinforcements."
