Returning Introduction

I don't believe I introduced myself when I was here before, so here is something new.

I am a long time gamer who has flirted with RPGs. I've had a growing interest in recent years and have played a couple one shots IRL. I also attempted GP back in 2015, but two things went wrong. I started a new career and the one game I signed up for I built a mute character. Not the best choice for a noob RPer. The new career was the big obstacle as I became obsessed with work (still am, but need some fun outlets).

I listen to the RPG academy regularly as well as Cthulhu and Friends. I used to listen to Knights of the Night. I'm really interested in White wolf games but have not experienced playing them yet. I've enjoyed the one shots I've played in D&D 5E and would happily play in more. 3.5/Pathfinder and FATE also sound fun.

Other random facts. Married, poly, I have no additional partners at the moment but wife does, have a kid who just turned 1, work in a museum, tested into Slytherin, and now this feels like a tinder profile so going to stop sharing now.

Welcome back, THEMeeple! I remember your username, though not the character you're mentioning. Play-by-Post can be rough even for a veteran when RL gets in the way, let alone someone getting their feet under them. The site has come a long way, in terms of the community, in the past two years, and I'm sure you'll find something at a better speed to get you going.

Haha, Tinder profile, indeed. Is it bad that when I read poly I immediately thought polyhedron, thinking: Is that code for table top RPG gamer?

Anyway, welcome back! Glad you're giving it another shot. There are two White Wolf games that I'm in atm, one playing, one running. I think there are some unexpected play-by-post challenges in that particular system, or maybe in sandbox style games in general. Need to suss out what is going on there and correct it.
