Issue #2

Procyon sighs deeply. The drama...it kills me sometimes. She turns to Emma, "Rigel's here. I have to go meet him out front. If you want to avoid his Illustrious Presence for another couple of minutes, I totally get that."

Crow looks around, sharing a moment with his companions, more confused than ever. When the line between nova and normal blurs so, how can we protect anyone?

"I... uh... we just know things. People call it in I guess?"

Emma shook her head. "Nah, I'll go with you. But...that was weird, right?" she said, grimacing as she waved the smoke out of her face, coughing a bit. "That wasn't just me, right? That was pretty weird."

"Yeah, that was weird. Even for us." Procyon gives Emma a grateful smile and they walk together to the entrance of the school. I'm on my way.

As they approached the front entrance, Emma lowered her voice, leaning towards Procyon. "So, what's he like anyway?" She was dreadfully curious, torn always between excitement and nervousness when it came to meeting other heroes.

Procyon replies quietly, "Ever see Buffy the Vampire Slayer? He's Giles - 'cept he can read your mind. Very smart, and eternally disappointed in his protege."

Aeon Crow turns and addresses Omen and Void Fist. "We need to find the source. Shut this down. I have enough problems controlling my own powers - I can't imagine how bad things could get if some emotionally unstable teenage abuse victim suddenly finds themselves with destructive eye lasers. Okay, I can imagine it. Any clues where to look?"

Well, that was a silly question. Okay, maybe Buffy was a little before her team, but Emma had marathoned all of the show at least twice over the years. Not to mention the random favorite episodes she'd watched here and there on a whim. "Unless you're talking like season 3 and up Giles. Then he's the proud mentor figure." She paused a moment, grinning sheepishly. That was probably besides the point.

"I dunno what he'd be disappointed about. I think you're doing great."

"No idea. All I can say is maybe we should meet up with the others, or look around some more." Omen growls, clearly looking frustrated.

Procyon throws Emma another grateful smile, "Thanks. That means a lot."

She taps her chin thoughtfully, "No, definitely season 2 Giles. No hint of Ripper yet."

Procyon nods, "Right, we'll go round them up. Cell phones are down." She looks at Emma to see is she is coming with.

Emma winces, but nods. Uh oh, they must be in trouble. She glances at Procyon and then follows her back inside to go find the others.

Thankfully, the school isn't that big and it's not too hard to find the rest of the group. "Hey guys," she said, poking her head around a corner and finding Omen, Aeon Crow, and Void Fist. "Apollo is strongly suggesting we get out of here before the cops show up."

"Well I guess we could look around... not everyone is going to be rude probably..." Void Fist states looking around for clues of where to head to next.

Omen shrugs at Void Fist and points a thumb toward Emma, "We should just go, like she says. I have a feeling we aren't going to find anything else here." She follows it up with a groan, "And if I'm on the news again so soon after last time, my mom will have a fit."

"You might be right. I don't think I should be out for a while in truth either." Void Fist states rotating a shoulder and looking at the staff he picked up from their last fight with the realization he might have injured himself or others with it.

"Should we take another pass through the school, make sure there aren't any more kids in trouble?" Rama doesn't sound like he actually wants to do that.
