It is still a few hours before dawn. The pitch black darkness of the night is illuminated by several ships’ lanterns that move rhythmically as the ship lulls from side to side as the tide slowly comes into the harbour. You patiently await your turn to board as the richer passengers pass you by and jump to the front of the queue. Finally, your moment comes and you step up onto the gangplank and present your ticket to the ship’s mate.
Welcome aboard The Indomitable he says. You hand him your ticket. Steerage he says and points at a door leading down towards the ship’s hull. You make your way through the crowded hallways full of families who are busy claiming cabins and stowing their few possessions. Finally, you find a cabin that isn’t crammed too full of people. There are a few other people in the cabin and you stow your things and sit down on an unoccupied hammock. A grizzled, old sailor looks you up and down. Aye he says by way of greeting,What cruel twist of fate brings ye here? Are ye like me? Did you take the Queen’s mercy? Speak up now. We’ve a long voyage and nothing but each other’s company with which ta pass the time.

A young man comes into the the room dragging a chest in and lets it fall near the edge of the room. A feeling of dread and misery surrounds him as if a dark cloud is above his head at all times. His skin is a a sickly pale almost green in color. His eyes have a strange glow and the bags below his eyes are dark and deep. He seems to not be sleeping very well. A demonic looking trinket hangs from his neck. The eyes on the trinket seem to follow you and it's face expression is one of pain and sorrow. pPelor has given me a curse of a task. I hope by traveling I can once again gain my spot among the angels. the young man then lays into his hamock and fiddles with his trinket.

A large half-orc walks into the room with the very basics to survive. Magak kill bad man, bad men now try to kill Magak. Bad men not know where Magak go. He then goes to a cot and starts doing push-ups

A half-elf and a human approach the ship. The half-elf is playing his lute quietly as the human sings quietly along with him. He then wraps his cloak around the half-elf as if to keep the two of them warm as they play and sing. The song soon ends, and the half-elf says, "We came to look for adventure for a new song."

"I'm here because... well, let's just say I'm here, shall we?" A wood elf says, his dress fluttering in the breeze. As she looks over her travelling companions, her heart sinks a little. They don't seem to be much her type--at all. Eh, well, she thinks, Mum always said to find friends wherever you are. And so I'm going to do!
Mar 26, 2017 1:04 am
The half-elf and human approach the wood elf. "Hello there!" the half-elf says.
Mar 26, 2017 1:24 am
"Hello!" The elf says happily. "I'm Quelenniavara Liadon Siannodel, or Que for short. Glad to make your acquaintance! Who might you be?"
Mar 26, 2017 1:36 am
"I'm Glórendil, and this is my husband Bran. A pleasure to meet you." They wrap their cloaks around each other and Glórendil nuzzles his head against Bran's.
Mar 26, 2017 2:17 am
"Oh!" Que does a poor job of covering her surprise. "Uh, nice to meet you! Both! Will, uh, Bran be coming with us, erm?" The young elf never seems to have encountered a homosexual couple before, and it really seems to be throwing her through a loop.
Mar 26, 2017 2:23 am
"Aye. That he will. He's a ranger, so he has some knowledge of exploration."

The sickly figure gets a beat up journal from his chest and begins to write butr shortly after he says in a low voice. No I don't want to talk to you right now. Go away and bother someone else. You are going to scare them. He swings his hands in the air as to swat something away.

You quickly adjust to life aboard The Indomitable.Your life becomes a routine of meal times, exercise and sleep. You are constantly in the company of others. There is no solitude. Your routine quickly becomes autonomous and monotonous. You spend close to a month in cramped quarters. However, you do learn a few interesting things about your companions.
OOC:
Please begin today's post with a small paragraph detailing what your companions learn about your character.
One day, you hear the joyous sound echoing down from the crow’s nest. Land ahoy. You feel amazing and join the rush of passengers who clamber up onto the port side of the main deck. Are we finally here? Is this the fabled new world? you think. Shortly afterwards you joy turns to disappointment as you learn that it's just the northern, untamed coast of Imerald, not the new world. You head back to your cabin.
Shortly after lunch you hear a muffled cry from above. Then you hear the thunderous sound of multiple boots rushing about on the deck above you. This is not normal.

What do you do?

Que seems to be a lively type, though often has moments of introversion in which case she retreats to the seclusion of the forecastle or crow's nest for a moment of peace. She is very tight lipped about her place on this voyage, but judging from her relative lack of other expertise you guess that she probably knows more about the magic arts than she lets on. She also never makes mention of the Light, pointing perhaps to the fact that her allegiance lies elsewhere. Ailments and injuries seem to be relieved by her presence, though that has not been confirmed by anyone but a half-drunk sailor who swears her touch closed a nasty gash he had just gotten. Que simply laughs and gently chides anyone who asks her about "such silliness".
She always wears a thin cotton dress, the only variation being the color scheme or border design. Her scimitar is rarely gone from her side, and she has been seen with a shield occasionally. She also always wears a strange circlet which seems to be made of vines which have intertwined themselves around her forehead. A forest green gem is set in its band, but questions about the entire arrangement meet only with "I was given it by my mother," after which Que will say nothing more about it. The vines seem to rearrange themselves, but none of you have any way of being sure.
CouchLord0510 sent a note to Arina
Upon hearing the boots, Que will grab her shield from her cabin, strap it on her arm, and head upstairs with her hand on her scimitar hilt.

Glórendil is often a very lively type, very close to his human partner Bran. He is often seen playing his lute while Bran sings along with him about the heroes of old. He seems very close to Bran. He is usually seen wearing a green leather doublet with brown breeches and fur-lined boots. He and Bran will often wrap their cloaks around each other on a cold day.

When he hears the cries from above, he grabs his longsword, Bran grabs his bow and longsword, and they rush upstairs onto the deck.

Magak is very quit but becomes quite boisterous when drinking. Many see hie quietness as rude but he's mostly quiet because he isn't very smart. He spends as much time as he can exercise, drinking, eating, and sleeping in that order. He doesn't seem to get along with many people, mostly because he feels pre-judged based upon his race. Magak will rush to help anyone who needs it and through his tough exterior is the sweetest hal-orc you'll ever meet.

When Magak hears the cries from above, he grabs his weapon and runs upstairs to find out what it is.

As the noise from on deck come down to those below, a dwarf in a white robe that has gold trim, wakes up and rolls out of a hammock located in the corner of the room. Stretching to loosen up, he looks around to gain his bearing and reaches over for a large hammer that is aged and has lost its luster, but is still in immaculate shape. The dwarf looks upwards and holds his hands up, as if reaching for the sky through the roof over his head for a few moments, before grabbing the medallion that hangs around his neck on a thick golden chain and raising it up to his mouth and kissing it.

"Pelor be praised."

As the amulet drops down to lay against his chest, he takes up his hammer and makes his way towards the stairs that lead up to the deck of the ship.

Over the course of the days. You get to learn that Saris speaks to spirits that no one can see and often has night terrors, which explain why he always looks so tired. Night in and Night out he wakes in the middle of the night yelling or screaming about. And even though he always says negative things he seems to always want to help others even if he complains about it. Saris is constantly writing down things down in his journal but makes sure to keep it close so that no one can see it. He knows a lot about the Gods even though worshiping of other Gods that aren't Pelor are forbidden.

Hopefully Erythnul hasn't sent down his work for I will crush all evil Saris says in a determined manner which seems strange out of the ordinary for his to say it with such liveliness

Saris grabs his rapier and his flask of Holy water from inside his chest before he makes his way to the noise.

The deck is in utter chaos. It is filled with sailors frantically rushing about the deck. Captain Bates is yelling orders to his officers, his officers are screaming orders to their bosons and the bosons are blowing their whistles with gusto, desperately signalling the sailors. The sound is deafening.

What do you do?
Mar 27, 2017 10:36 am
Que, seeing that trying to get information out of someone on deck will be useless, joins the sailors in the rigging and climbs for the fighting top, an area of the ship she is quite well acquainted with since its small area made it a perfect place to seek seclusion. Reaching her destination, she surveys the seas for any sign of what could be causing this commotion.
Mar 27, 2017 12:43 pm
Glórendil rushes up to the ship's captain. "What's going on?" he asks.
