Jean is going to listen in on Rixon and the generals' strategy meeting.

"My husband Rufus is a knight in Faerdringplace, Kaio," Thorolf replies calmly.
Mar 28, 2017 11:12 pm
"If you desire to go see... him, so be it. I would hold you are abandoning your assignment before your work is done, but that is your decision and I have no desire to make it for you," Kaio says, his voice a little frigid. "Either way, those of us who will deal with these bandits should move now. Time is a valuable asset and not to be wasted," he says, turning to the others.

Thorolf and Geran will have their personal errand stories play out in their personal forums.

Xaar, Jean, Rixon, and Kaio will form the core of this Chapter's story in this main thread. The minor exception here is the four of you need to decide if you will take Geran's body along with you while he's out quasiting or if you leave it in town. Mwahahah.

OOC:
As would Rixon. Can we get a pack mule, perhaps?

The Sheriff did tell you, prior to his departure back into the jail, that talking to the mayor could secure you horseflesh. I just forgot to type it. :)

OOC:
Do you want us to RP that, or can we just say we did it quickly in the name of wanting to move with haste on our character's part?

OOC:
up to you. For free, he'll give you Notter and crew's horses. for 8 gold, you can buy a mule

OOC:

Assuming one horse each? So abandoned body has a horse?

Quickly RP it, or quickly let's move on?

OOC:
Notter's crew will get you 5 total horses.

OOC:
I'd posted about not having anything interesting to RP but then remembered...
Five horses from Notter, five Haremites heading to the mountains. I suggest since these horses came from the mission, they stay on the mission. Thorolf would likely return faster with a mount... I'm willing to contribute a little coin to see him on his way.

Just before leaving town, Rixon remembers the chest he and Kaio had dug up. He takes the locket to the Sherrif, Before we leave I meant to ask... Does this look familiar?

"I don't need to see him at the moment, but if we end up in Faerdringplace, I would like to see him."
OOC:
I'm staying with the group for now

Light, Thor. Make up your mind. Alright, we need one more animal. Let's get that pack mule for Geran's shell, Rixon shivers at the thought. Then we can be on our way.

"I'll go see him the next time we are in Faerdringplace."

Your dealings with the mayor yield you the 5 horses (Notter's, 1 each for the lieutenants, and 1 each for the two guards that traveled from town to town with Notter himself). You negotiate a donkey to carry Geran's body, settling on 6 gold for the price.

Mounted up, you head out from the town, headed east toward where you made your brief camp earlier. The trip is relatively uneventful, a bit quicker astride the beasts. Assuming you all left near to mid-day, you make your previous campsite as the sun drops below the horizon and a gentle twilight settles in. You stop and rest for the night, waking up as the sun rises, pleasantly surprised to have gotten a proper night's rest out of the situation. You now have a bright shining summer's day ahead of you, the mountains pierce the sky in the distance, a few hours ride to get into the thick of the foothills.

What do you all do with your day?

Thorolf will practice with his bow for several hours before writing a letter to Ser Rufus.

Rixon wakes up feeling better than he has in awhile. I’ll enjoy this while it lasts… Won’t always be this way.

We know from the Sheriff that these bandits are deep in the mountains proper. We probably have another day’s ride ahead of us, and tomorrow night will be more dangerous. Thorolf, spare the trees; save your arrows for the bandits. Or perhaps whatever else lurks in the hills? Rixon says.

Let’s get a move on.
OOC:
Rixon will not want to wait hours for bow practice and letter writing in the middle of the task at hand.
