Alright. I think that you guys are onto a line of thinking that I also saw developing as I looked at the way things were spacing out on the Grid Map.

So let's talk it through. And with an eye for the blend and overlap of action happening in the whole scene that goes beyond the partitioned mechanical "wait your turn" picture that the Initiative stack sort of suggests.

As always, it is going to be a game of split-seconds and inches.

As you guys are doing the sprint of your lives, the bad guys are equally trying to do everything possible to leap into action and respond.

Remaining normal Movement 15' let's everyone shift 1 block north, leaning ever so slightly west.

At that time, Ulathi's from Group 7 are moving in with everything they've got, trying their best to cut the angle and either strike, grapple, or get close enough to you somehow to be bearing down right behind you on chase (to force OAs if you keep moving).

Scariest thing on that probably is that U7.3 has a net.
On that note, further back (maybe irrelevant), U2.4 has a net.

And The Hierophant is even quicker on the draw than those guys. She is standing up, shifting around the Throne to maintain line of sight, and wants to try her very best to use abilities at a distance as soon as she can get an opportunity.

So when is that?

If the team does a group ACTION SURGE for an extra DASH, we can see it gets you RIGHT THERE to the edge of the doorway. It is so close. If we get right down to it, it seems like person-by-person, it would be something like this:

Thorn: could get out of the threshold of the Throne Room

Ivor: could get out of the threshold of the Throne Room (Jabes, I would send something that would be clear to Ivor. Doirind got the most payoff of anyone on the Temp HPs of the Throne Room Vision. Game changer for her, and thereby maybe the party because she killed the last Group 1 Ulathi. BUT she is actually still bleeding to death possibly/eventually depending on what comes up in the future, facing a collapsed lung, and has only 15' Movement on her own. If Doirind is going to make that Movement you guys are suggesting, she would have to be scooped up and carried. For Ivor, I am going to say that is absolutely NO PROBLEM. She weighs about 115 lbs. Ivor is one of the strongest men in the world. That is like grabbing your backpack on the way out the door to school. It just takes an off-hand arm out of play. If you leave Doirind behind, you can have both hands free though. Let me know.)

Kray, carrying Sorcha Rhone: It looks like Kray gets RIGHT UP TO THE THRESHOLD. It couldn't be closer.

Maeriks: right on the heels of his buddies, but he started just a little further back so he is a step or two behind, still within the measurement of the Throne Room by a few feet.

Bryn: pretty much a mirror copy of Maeriks' situation

And that's what it would be. I can picture it all coming together. I know everyone would love to have another 5' or so, but with things as they were I think it would be a pretty fucking awesome achievement to be there considering where you were seconds ago.

Think about it. If you do this course, you're picturing a team of guys dispersed and surrounded. They looked pinched for sure. Then they exploded into complete violence and motion. Blades and spears whirl out like a tornado. 8 opponents dead and 1 injured in an instant. Two allies scooped up for carry. And they fucking Usain Bolt across the room like track and field, covering about 20 meters before anyone in the room can even get their bearings enough to react.

Not bad right?

So I'm thinking that is the group decision: ACTION SURGE DASH, which will thereby set up the circumstance described above.

Everyone did write in I see last night, but I want to pause one more time to allow for anything else that needs to be said, asked, or described.
(One thing I guess I need confirmation on is from Jabes: does Ivor pick that bad bitch up, or leave her ass there for rear guard covering retreat? And CB, you had some thoughts mentioned on that maybe based on Note.)

Everyone post in to give consent or discuss any adjustments.

Oh yeah! One more thing, meant to write above:

The team sees little Hinka just around the edge of Cube Block R. He's staged up to let you guys pass, loaded with Tochoan band-launch javelins cocked taunt on both arms! (Sat on the floor and used his feet to pull set the second one).

Fucking Tcho-Tcho Swamp Leprechaun stepping out from the shadows double barrel to cover retreat. Is that John Woo Killer or what?!

If you'll notice, Ivor went with a two-handed grip on the trident in the last round instead of bringing his net into play. Meta, that's because I needed the bonus action to activate Rage but narratively it also fit because Ivor was in FUCK THIS SHIT, GTFO mode rather than really trying to dominate your ass, bring the pain mode. Yeah he would definitely carry Doirind if she needs help. Can't say the same he'll do the same for any of the other females (Sorcha, but Kray already has her) not just because he wants to get into Doirind's pants, but because having fought beside him she has earned his respect in a way few people have.

Notional Grid Map, End of TR1

https://dl.dropbox.com/s/4fedo855579tmm6/Throne%20Room%20Grid%20Map%20Progress%20End%20TR1.JPG

Casidhe (C), Laoise (L), and Hinka (H) on map for first time.

One less Group 5er, thanks to Laoise.

Ivor carrying Doirind.

Hinka holds fire to target incoming Group 7 Ulathi.

This is the snapshot for Round turn order separation by Initiative, but in actuality it is all blending together. This plus Actions forth coming from first Hierophant and then Ulathi.

Yo, Players Club. I’m going to try to get back online tonight to proceed with shift from Top to Bottom Round 1, set up things for your response as we head into the week.

Guys, if I ever forget, please remind me not to fuck with a Tcho Tcho.

DMJ says:

First we'll have to see if Big Maeriks comes flying in like an Offensive Lineman ramming the pile of teammates trying to push the stalled RB across the goal line.

That sounds more like rugby, the one where they don't wear any pads. I know you Americans worship football players who like to take a knee, but rugby is much more impressive.

Yo, Ox. In days past I would have gladly taken this bait and proceeded to eviscerate such a claim. But you know times are different now, and I don't think NFL millionaires are worth defending.

I'm good with rugby players. The rugby imagery is probably the right one in this scene anyway. Good call.

Write it down, y'all: J bows out of a good trash talk bout!

Shit. That was unexpected.

I... I, don't even know what to say.
Oct 16, 2017 3:04 pm
All joking aside, is the drama about this "take a knee" thing as heated as it seems? I've seen videos of fans burning NFL jerseys, like, thousands of $ worth of jerseys.

Fekk.

Luck?!

Wait... shit... ruling on that J? Seems like I missed something.

Luck coming back: depends on timing of use.

At the "reset of time" loop, you get back anything you used during the near-disastrous fight at the South Wheel Door Lane. Reset to all stats when everyone was prepping up, online to defend the door.

Before that, I think there was a Short Rest, when all the Psychos were banging on the door trying to chop it down, but before they started to break through, while Rutcranna and Rhone were setting up the ritual sites.

So not sure if that delivers the reset or not.

There is not reset or recovery of all Luck at the Throne Room Vision (Offense or Defense) experience that happened in just these last moments. There was an Action Surge and Rage reset, but not an overall Long Rest substitute or anything.

Okay. That means zero luck left fellas. Used the last one getting through to the Hierophant.

Notional Update to Grid Map
Bottom of Round 1- Transition to Top of Round 1

If you guys could, catch up on the Ep 1 reading and get your bearings. A lot coming at you at once.

New map has Kray and Rhone high up in the air, at least 20', just above the high platforms of the two stone blocks on either side, where the dome ceiling starts to curve upward and inward to a center peak area.

The Hierophant standing beside The Throne now.

Ulathi broken out of groups and labeled individually.

As mentioned in Ep 1, a big crowd of Ulathi has flooded the narrowing spot between the blocks. Could not Attack, did all Dash Movement, but they have succeeded to put themselves in position to swipe at y'all if you try to move past them or away from them.

Remember, the stones are closing together. Estimate they will be closed within the next 10 - 20 seconds You can tell that they will be closed in approximately 12 more seconds at this rate, if they are unobstructed, and maybe they will close even if obstructed (have to wait and see on that).

This is the spot where Round 1 ends and Round 2 starts.

Write in with anything - questions, concerns, comments - that may need to be addressed.

Important: Throne Room Defense/Offense remains in effect IF you are in the circle structure of the Throne Room. If you set foot outside the Throne Room threshold, going into the north hallway, all of that vision and clarity falls away-- you loose the performance.
Does one get it back if they step back in to the circle?
