Jackalfolk - I'm OK with the race with the following changes:
Animal Senses - Only Investigation, Perception (sound-based), and Stealth. Deception and Performance have nothing to do with your sense of smell and hearing. It describes which senses, so perception I'll limit to sound-based perception.
Desert Is Your Home - This can be like the Goliath cold acclimation, but for extreme heat instead. In short, you automatically succeed on the Con saves required in excess heat.
Shadow Hunter - I'm OK with it, with the following changes/thoughts
Sneak Attack - Shadow Hunters have more eventual Sneak Attack dice than rogues and even just start off straight up stronger? Plus the ability to give themselves a nearly infallible ability to hide pretty effectively? Couple that with the ability to boost their ability to attack to gain a second and third attack, it seems a touch overpowered there. I'm inclined to set the Sneak Attack dice to the same as the rogue progression.
Breaking Darkness - Need a length of time that the bonus applies for. 1 turn, 1 minute, ???. I'm inclined to think that it's a "until the end of your next turn" kind of thing.
Shadow's Gift - We'll look at this when we get to that point (if we do).
