"Sounds like a plan," Que says, taking the note and walking out of the room.

After everyone leaves saris asks Any idea how much we would each have to save to get our passage paid. And what would we have to do to get our trip completely paid for?
May 4, 2017 3:01 am
As I said earlier, I think the cost of the entire trip would be about 500 gold. That includes everyone's passage. Ms Fraught has offered to pay for your entire trip if you were to deal with an orc war party. Otherwise, as for my odd jobs, it would depend on the job. Simple jobs will pay less but if there's some dangerous work then you will receive appropriate compensation
May 4, 2017 3:02 pm
Do you have any information on the Orc's that would be useful also if you don't mind I would prefer to get that offer in writing. One can never be too sure about things.
May 5, 2017 12:01 am
Of course you may have it in writing. she says. I am the Queen's representative in Berda Trading Post and my authority here is second only to Mr. Sigmar. However,
I must add the only people capable of enforcing the terms of the contract are in this room.
she looks at Mr. Sigmar who blushes. Northwatch, the northernmost city of Imerald is about a weeks journey to the South. Also, it would be suicide to hunt the orcs alone. You should discuss this with your companions before signing a contract.
May 5, 2017 3:50 pm
Of course I won't sign anything. I would just like to have a rough draft of what the intended contract would be to show them proof. No point in risking our lives just to be told no after the fact. I apologize if that seems harsh but everyone has their darkside.

Ms. Fraught looks to Mr. Salmalin who sighs and reaches into his the desk and withdraws a quill and parchment. He speaks an incomprehensible word of power and the parchment fills with words. He takes it and hands it to you:

We, the undersigned, agree to deal with the orc warparty sighted to the north. We will provide proof as to the destruction of said war party to Ms. Fraught. In return, Ms. Fraught agrees to pay the full cost of passage and rental of a ship to Colony 254 (the destination of the Indomitable). The undersigned agree not to disclose Western Trading Company secrets to any third party.

Signed Ms. Fraught

He waves his hands and a second contract appears which he also hands to you:

We, the undersigned, agree to the employment terms of the Western Trading Company and its representative Mr. Sigmar. We agree to perform jobs for Mr. Sigmar at his request for a previously agreed upon sum of money. In exchange, Mr. Sigmar will provide full board and equipment for the undersigned. The undersigned agree not to disclose Western Trading Company secrets to any third party.

Signed Mr. Sigmar.

Mr. Sigmar says Please take these contracts and discuss them with your friends. If you would like to discuss the terms or if you have any questions please come and see us tomorrow and then gestures towards the door.
May 6, 2017 9:35 pm
thank yo for the prompt contracts. saris shakes Mr. Sigmars hand then extends his hand out to Ms. Fraught but instead of shaking Saris kisses her hand Its been a pleasure to lay eyes on such a smart and lovely woman. I wish nothing but the best for you in your future endeavors.
May 7, 2017 12:59 am
She smiles politely at the compliment. I hope to see you again tomorrow sir. she says and you leave the office and head towards the inn.

You make your way to the Western Trading Compamy office without incident. The marines give you a nod as you enter. You climb the stairs at the back of the trading post and knock on the door. You are quickly admitted and Mr. Sigmar and Ms. Fraught greet you. Mr Salmalin is not currently present. So gentlemen. What can we do for you? Mr Sigmar says with a smile.
May 12, 2017 10:36 am
"I think we're going to take you up on your offers," Que says with a smile. "I think we may tackle the orcs first, but we were hoping you might have some information regarding their whereabouts, etc. that we could use?"
May 12, 2017 2:58 pm
Stretching to shake the tired out of his bones, Harbek looks around for something to drink. Not seeing anything that would suit his needs at the moment, he turns his attention back to the conversation,

Aye. If you can just be pointin' us in the right direction.
May 12, 2017 3:20 pm
Magak kill orcs! Point Magak at them and see fury of good kill them!
May 12, 2017 3:49 pm
Also we will need to be outfitted for this. Where are we to get weapons?
May 12, 2017 8:21 pm
"Do you not have weapons?" Que asks Saris in surprise. Seeing his empty hip, she continues "No, I suppose you don't."
May 12, 2017 8:33 pm
Looking over towards Saris, Harbek nods at his empty hips,

Oye Lad. If you be needin' somethin' for killin some orcs there be a fella dwarf over by the beach what has a smith.

With a show of pride, he continues,

Can't nobody outdo a dwarf when it come to makin' stuff to kill orcs with.
May 13, 2017 8:23 am
I'll actually be needing a few more things besides weapons.
May 13, 2017 9:10 am
Ms. Fraught smiles at the barrage of questions. So first things first, information regarding the orc war party. There is an orc tribe to the north called The Screaming Skulls. They seem to have some kind of rite of passage. It seems to be a yearly event when the younger orcs prove their ability to provide for the tribe. To do so, they stage a raid on the surrounding farms. It's somewhat predictable as they always attack during the harvest when we're weakest and most vulnerable because all able hands are needed to harvest the crops. I can tell you that the war party will be entirely composed of combatants so you don't need to worry about hurting innocents. In the past, the war party has been composed of somewhere between 10-15 orcs. I want you to hunt the war party and stop them before they get to us. I want to be very clear here. I want you to kill the entire war party. I want to send them a message that we are not to be trifled with. Does that sound manageable?

Mr. Sigmar then adds Regarding supplies, once you sign your contracts we will allow you limited access to our supplies here at the Trading Post. Regarding weapons, we have some basic weapons here. What do you need?
May 13, 2017 1:20 pm
"Sounds quite manageable," Que says. "I could use a longbow if you have one handy," she adds.
OOC:
Thought this would be a good time to point out that as players, of course, you know that Que is a level 2 Moon Druid and therefore can use Wild Shape. However, that is a very closely kept secret in her Circle so none of your characters would know about that ability of hers and since she's not very trusting yet she would want to keep it that way as long as possible. Just wanted to throw that out there since in most parties I've been in, the others just seemed to know that at level two the druid in the party could Wild Shape, but I wanted to do it differently with Que.
