If he is within melee range, he will attack with another handaxe attack.

If he is not within melee range, he will cast Eldritch Blast to the shadowy creature.

Handaxe Damage - (1d6+1)

(5) + 1 = 6

Handaxe Hit - (1d20+1)

(20) + 1 = 21

Eldritch Blast Hit - (1d20+4)

(6) + 4 = 10

Eldritch Blast Damage - (1d10)

(2) = 2

You are out of melee range, and the attack should have been disadvantaged since you are Blinded. However, the roll you made would have missed, so we'll go with that.
Your eldritch energy streaks by the creature, slamming into the wall beyond causing some pictures to rattle a bit! In a haze, the cloud lifts from your eyes and you see the creature in the distance once more. With a dash, it rushes you, slashing at you as it does.

The creature scores a nasty hit, dealing 5 damage!
