Hope you all had a good weekend! My wife and I invited my family over for the weekend so we had to clean the house and I got a raspberry pi and built a retropie (classic gaming console).
Awesome! I sent my wife to a self-help retreat in a remote part of Canadia and spent the weekend writing scripts, computer code (iOS with Swift), and setting up a gaming adventure that I'm running in a few weeks (pathfinder... running 4 8th-Level PCs against 1000 or so orcs and maybe 2000 goblins... in an epic battle of attrition).
I haven't really seen any rules before 3.5e. I was introduced to roleplaying with Star Wars Revised Core Rulebook and even then I just had the book no actual play. I thought the idea of making my own star wars character was awesome though.
well, I'll just say that 1st Edition AD&D is significantly different from all the d20 variants. It has no eye toward fairness or equality between the Classes and is set up in a complex-but-rules-light way.
