I move back to the room whose door I just closed.

You sneak into the room, as quietly as you can manage. In the hallway beyond, you hear the drunken ramblings of a dwarf as he bumps down the hallway looking for something.

I slide the door open and peek into the hallway.

As you look back out of the room, you see the light receding down the stairs, the hall is now empty.

You successfully make your way out the window and to the ground. There are some more people out and about now, as the "party" seems to be breaking up in the tavern and people are setting out from there. Stealth check to escape undetected.
